The October crisis no one is paying attention to

By early October the Congress will have to raise the debt ceiling for the US to pay the interest on it's bonds.
It appears that Ryan does not have the votes to do so.
Failure to do this will quickly cascade into a tumbling dollar and economic havoc.
There is no expectation of any leadership from Trump on this. He doesn't really grasp Economics and doesn't understand how these things work.
This would be as bad as 2008. And we don't have a functioning Government to deal with it.

I think the fact not much in the way of a life line was thrown out by congress this week in the president's direction followed by his latest tweet storm against business leaders and senators isn't winning him friends he didn't have to begin with. It's going to be an interesting fall session of congress. They don't like him, hate many of his ideas, and have some important issues to work on.

Dems overwhelmingly support raising the debt ceiling in lieu of defaulting. Even under Obama, the GOP got it raised using democratic votes.
