If it comes down to a total change in the present government...?

Wouldn't it be the jurisdiction of the House and Senate to form the new government? Let the House and Senate vote on the next President? Majority vote required to lead our nation.

Then they could start from the bottom re-building our government. For example, they could fill all our diplomatic posts, or most of them, at the State Department. They could re-examine all the regulations that were over-turned, to re-assure the people that their health and safety were not put at risk.

There is a big job ahead, if we ever rid ourselves of this narcissistic tyrant?

I think there is the possibility that the Military will attempt to take even more power than they presently possess, and it is a concern that They will do a run-by with this present incompetent and unaware Congress.

That's what a constitutional crisis is, when ambiguity or unprecidented issues can't be agreed upon. We can just use our imagination because that's all we'll have if someone steps over the line. It all can break. Then we hope who's left gives a damn about the rest of us and has the power to succeed and the grace to stand down.

History has examples of the possibilities so we'd better hope the system we have works.

The states make the bulk of the constitutional decisions. Unless someone decides to scrap the Republic part of the government.

The Constitution spells out what we have and do. Anything else and all bets are off.

Constitution be damned.

Should be very fun! Especially with Repubs holding both houses, they would likely enjoy nothing more!

Wouldn't it be the jurisdiction of the House and Senate to form the new government?

NO

Let the House and Senate vote on the next President?

NO

Majority vote required to lead our nation.

Majority of Whom...
House? No
Senate? No
The People? No
Electoral College? Yes

Then they could start from the bottom re-building our government. For example, they could fill all our diplomatic posts, or most of them, at the State Department. They could re-examine all the regulations that were over-turned, to re-assure the people that their health and safety were not put at risk.

That's not at all how those positions are filled.

But who am I to argue constitutional law against the Supreme Court. Ironic. But that's how systems of government break down.
