"The Trump presidency that we fought for, and won, is over".

What did Steve Bannon mean by that comment??

If the Trump presidency is over, then what is next?

If they "won", what did they win?

Will he now turn his guns on the Democrats or the Republicans?

He's going to turn them on the Republicans surrounding Trump that he believes are the reason for the lack of far-right legislation being passed. Kushner, McConnell, Paul Ryan are a few.

Since Democrats are in the minority in both the House and Senate, attacking them doesn't do him any good. They don't have any real pull, so going after them would just be a waste of time.

He failed and wants chaos. He and Trump are rivals.

I will be shocked if Breitbart runs another positive story for Trump. Bannon and he hate each other, it's a personal rivalry between two narcissistic psychopaths.

Breitbart is about to become Trump's worst nightmare. The chaos on the far right will be beautiful as they struggle with believing Breitbart or FOX News.

As reported by the Telegraph:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/08/18/steve-bannon-donald-trumps-chief-white-house-strategist-mutual/

"The Trump presidency that we fought for, and won, is over," he told the Weekly Standard, a right-wing newspaper “We still have a huge movement, and we will make something of this Trump presidency," he continued.

"But that presidency is over. It’ll be something else. And there’ll be all kinds of fights, and there’ll be good days and bad days, but that presidency is over.”

He added: “I feel jacked up. Now I’ve got my hands back on my weapons,” he added as he vowed “Bannon the barbarian” would crush the opposition.

"There’s no doubt. I built a -----ng machine at Breitbart. And now I’m about to go back, knowing what I know, and we’re about to rev that machine up. And rev it up we will do.”

His loyalty to Donald Trump remained undimmed.

“If there’s any confusion out there, let me clear it up: I’m leaving the White House and going to war for Trump against his opponents -- on Capitol Hill, in the media, and in corporate America,” he told Bloomberg.

Especially given Trump's tweet today. This is a rivalry. Trump wants to give zero credit to Bannon.

departure was announced. Bannon doesn't hate Trump and he will try to save Trump as this presidency will be his only chance to destroy the "Deep State". IMO Bannon won't be going to war against Trump ... he'll be trying to re-incite and re-energize Trump's base. I think he recognizes some Trump cultists have begun drifting away the "army" (white supremacist, Nazis, white nationalist) have proven not be as "strong" (witness the disavowals and crybabies after being identified on tape after Charlottesville) without being constantly stirred up by a "publication" such as Breitbart. Just my 2 cents.
