McConnell praises Trump in Kentucky, minutes after Trump criticized him

the spineless mitch.

Louisville, Kentucky (CNN)Majority Leader Mitch McConnell offered mostly praise to President Donald Trump in a speech at the Kentucky Farm Bureau's annual ham breakfast Thursday morning, as tensions between him and the President continued to escalate in recent days.

In brief remarks to his constituents, the closest the Kentucky Republican got to criticizing Trump was saying he was "a little concerned about some of the trade rhetoric," an apparent reference to Trump's pledge to re-negotiate trade deal and his decision to leave the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Otherwise, McConnell praised Trump for rolling back Obama-era regulations and picking Neil Gorsuch as the most recent Supreme Court justice.

But the positive feelings appear to not be mutual. Mere minutes before McConnell was expected to speak, the President tweeted a message criticizing congressional Republican leadership, citing both the Kentucky Republican and House Speaker Paul Ryan.

"I requested that Mitch M & Paul R tie the Debt Ceiling legislation into the popular V.A. Bill (which just passed) for easy approval," Trump said in a series of two consecutive tweets. "They ... didn't do it so now we have a big deal with Dems holding them up (as usual) on Debt Ceiling approval. Could have been so easy-now a mess!"

Is he doing this to get them to take him down before the full import of his traitorous acts are fully exposed to the nation? The findings of Mueller and the dossier and don jr's actions as well as donald's theft of the elections are soon to come across the transom and he's scared of a good long prison term.
Then on top of that, he has Schneiderman's work in New York to contend with and that's a whole nuther ball game.

Trade in a moderate Democrat for a bat shit crazy clueless idiot whose bottom line is his personal pocket. It would appear Mitch and Ryan have plenty still to fear from Comrade Casino. They will end up owning even a cyclic downturn in the economy as they shake up investor confidence. How is that swamp thing working out?

it proves that most of them were complicit. They knew and tried to cover it up thereby "obstructing justice." Not enough is being reported or explained about this and the media is not doing enough to present the confirmed evidence that they already have. It is sickening.

McConnell blinks and says nice things about Trump. I still keep saying that Trump is telling McConnell & Ryan - that if he goes down - he will take them and the whole Repug Party with him. Either he knows that they were complicit in the Russian collusion or he will lie his butt off and say that they were.

Watch closely now. It will be interesting if that 10Hrs of testimony transcript makes it to the public's eye. Grassley was kinda backed into a corner yesterday and he used weasel words with respect to making that transcript public and also whether he'd vote to make it public.

My guess is that again the enabling Repugs will circle the wagons around Trump and somehow wiggle out of making that transcript public. We The People need to keep the pressure on the Repugs to make this public.

I'm wondering when Mueller gets his hands on the transcript - if he could make it public info?
