CEO of Panera posts inspiring message of peace, right-wingers freak out

Last edited Thu Aug 24, 2017, 11:40 AM - Edit history (1)

Ron Shaich of Panera posted the following message promoting peace and denouncing hatred:

https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/hate-has-home-panera-ron-shaich?trk=eml-email_feed_ecosystem_digest_01-recommended_articles-7-Unknown&midToken=AQFYM5NZfh62UA&fromEmail=fromEmail&ut=1flU697j76onU1

As expected, right-wingers pitched a hissy fit in the comments, immediately snarling threats of boycotts, shrieking "What about [insert name of any other group they want to deflect to]" and even stooping to jeer at the quality of the food at Panera. Spewing the same old talking points. Hysterical with rage that anyone would dare to promote peace.

And it's liberals who are "triggered snowflakes who need safe spaces?"

What's interesting is that Shaich points the finger at alt-right, NOT regular conservatives, and even praises politicians on both sides of the aisle who have condemned hate. But no, the right-wingers must throw a tantrum that they're being picked on by a guy who criticizes Nazis. Fucking Nazis!

A girl is dead, the result of being murdered by a Republican, but as always these poor litle sob sisters are the perpetual victims. As always.

BOLD is mine..

Neal Hebert
Managing Sales Director at Magnolia Wealth Strategies, a Member of MassMutual Financial Group-

I suggest the left learn their history about calling Neo-Natzi Groups as Alt-Right. In 1920 in Germany, a political party was formed called the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (National Socialist German Workers’ Party), abbreviated to NSDAP. Its leader from 1921 was Adolf Hitler. They are SOCIALST, not conservatives. They are one in the same as Antifa.
As a conservative and patriotic American I will no longer do business with firms like Panera Bread. I hope Mr. Saich is ignorant, for if he is not, he supports the actions of the extreme groups including Antifa.

So, i guess Hebert needs to learn HIS history. Just because the Nazi's used the word socialism, doesn't mean they were really socialists.

His populism is a guise to make his base feel like he will look out for the little guy in small town America while he lines the pockets of the 1% at the expense of the needy.

Hitler used the socialist term to justify his intent to strip the elites, namely Jewish bankers/businessmen, of their wealth.

In both cases, oligarchy is the effect and intent. A "chosen" few to control the masses.

Someone is held up as a plain speaking, straight talker that's on the side of the little guy who's hurting and will lead them to the promised land.

All prepackaged with tons of empty calories and a 3 day sell-by date. Leaves you with an aching head, a queasy stomach, and worse off than when you started.

somehow to be associated with the 'left' or liberals.

From Wikipedia:

Oswald Spengler, a German cultural philosopher, was a major influence on Nazism[.]

Spengler's notions of "Prussian socialism" as described in his book Preussentum und Sozialismus ("Prussiandom and Socialism", 1919), influenced Nazism and the Conservative Revolutionary movement. Spengler wrote: "The meaning of socialism is that life is controlled not by the opposition between rich and poor, but by the rank that achievement and talent bestow. That is our freedom, freedom from the economic despotism of the individual. Spengler adopted the anti-English ideas addressed by Plenge and Sombart during World War I that condemned English liberalism and English parliamentarianism while advocating a national socialism that was free from Marxism and that would connect the individual to the state through corporatist organisation. Spengler claimed that socialistic Prussian characteristics existed across Germany, including creativity, discipline, concern for the greater good, productivity, and self-sacrifice. He prescribed war as a necessity, saying "War is the eternal form of higher human existence and states exist for war: they are the expression of the will to war."

True socialism, according to Spengler, would be in the form of corporatism, stating that: "local corporate bodies organised according to the importance of each occupation to the people as a whole; higher representation in stages up to a supreme council of the state; mandates revocable at any time; no organised parties, no professional politicians, no periodic elections.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazism

Now, if anyone would care to try and find something in Spengler that equates to liberalism, please feel free.

They're not poorly informed, they're DISinformed. The folks on the right - don't know who exactly - have deliberately muddied the waters so they can slime the left with the fascist label while sanitizing and camouflaging their own true agenda and ideology.

The price alone, $8 for half a sandwich, scares them off quick. AND soup?

My daughter has worked for Panera's for 11 years and is a Joint Venture General Manager at age 28 and doing so well. They recognize talent and treat their people very well. In fact, my husband now works there since he's semi-retired and does deliveries. I love that they sell "clean" and very high quality food. Now I have yet another reason to love them, a CEO who has common sense and who cares about the people who work for him as well as the entire country.

Obviously, those within the service either are unaware or don't care their job position and company name appears in their replies. Those of us who read them and disagree could come DOWN on their company by pulling our business from them.
OR
Contact the company, give the employees name, and complain How can the company ALLOW its employees to state this trash, and provide the link.

OR they are fake.

If #2, they would suffer the same fate as the torch boys did job wise.
People sure dont think past their noses.
