Romney's Biggest Negative - The Dismal Legacy of George W. Bush

When they want to headline a fundraiser, Republicans have to go with the unpopular Dick Cheney. George Bush is plain radioactive. Previous Republican candidates have had the blessing of a former President, but not this one. George Bush is the source of so many unpleasant associations that any Republican would have difficulty following after him.

Granted . . . Romney has plenty of negatives of his own, but the main problem he has is defining himself as not-Bush. All Republicans are alike, and they all more or less resemble George Bush. Contrary to those who say Bush wasn't punished enough for his misdeeds, Dubya knows he's in the doghouse. Even worse, his fellow Republicans hope he never comes out.
