Because no OTHER country in the world has ANY trivial commercialism

and we certainly have no OTHER redeeming qualities.

Another one for the self-haters.

P.S. Please don't respond with the knee-jerk bs that I'm a "rah rah American"

freeper troll, blah blah....I simply don't indulge in the sort of simplistic,

binary thinking the OP apparently admires.

"Must have struck a few nerves with you based on your reaction...Guilty of a few"?

Do you ask that of other demographic groups when they

get offended at jokes that engage in negative stereotypes?

Not now, I'd bet and not on this board, but maybe

when they were a bit more fashionable, huh?

but if you dared post anything like that here,

the same people now laughing would likely be

flaming away at you as a bigoted, right-wing,

intolerant, simplistic and insular American.

See how that works?

to live. Other places are nice to visit, and even to reside in for a period of time, but this country really does have the best balance in many ways--at least, to my view.

That said, I found the OP hilarious! If we cannot laugh at ourselves, then we're no damn fun.
