Look for a ruling this week on the Texas voter ID Laws this has national implications

Looks like the three judge panel might throw this racist ID law down the toilet where it belongs BUT the rethugs will try and take this to there buddies on the US Supreme Court if it doesn't go there way and there's no telling what those 5 crazies on the court will do http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/07/texas_voter_id_trial_closing_arguments.php?ref=fpb

Is there any effort underway to ensure that the people that don't have picture IDs obtain them? Driving them to DMVs to get the IDs, collecting money to pay for them, etc?

.. and allowed access to DHS/Fed immigrant databases.

A Reep DOJ would have just ignored it or fought it.

One law for Dems, no law for Reeps.

Why not provide the best possible information to the states that are trying to clean up their voter rolls?

I know this isn't popular on DU, but I have zero problem with states moving to remove ineligible voters from their voter rolls, and I believe they should have the best possible sources of data so that they only remove those that are ineligible.

I was removed and no one informed me. I just happened to find out when I checked my registration online. Most people don't do that.

But if they make the info available and people choose not to check it, especially for something as important as voting, I'm not sure what to say.

What was their excuse for removing you?

Before you make an accusation such as this:

"...and Democrats will try to allow ineligibile voters to vote if they think they will vote the way they want them to."

You had BEST be able to PROVE it or be prepared to eat your words. Prove it, or have it alerted on for the rightwng, Teapublican trollbait it is. You have 5 minutes.
