Trump's thought process at the moment.

I think he understands that the worst case scenario for him is that he gets compared to Bush during Katrina. And I think that's about all he really understands.

So his response to that is basically to live tweet about the storm during the storm just to prove he is "doing something" and not just playing golf. Basically he wants to prove to the country that he knows--as we also know--there is a major storm hitting Texas.

So as a result we get things like this:

Wow - Now experts are calling #Harvey a once in 500 year flood! We have an all out effort going, and going well!

And while "Wow" sounds like something school children might say when their teacher shows them a cool science experiment, you would hope that the President of the United States might be capable of something with a little more...gravitas.

But, hey, he's tweeting. That's "doing something", right?

that tweet sounds like he is proud of the devastation and like he casued it. How the hell would he know what is happening since he couldn't be bothered to go to the Sit. Room this weekend.

He really has no ability to think beyond himself. People are constantly asking how he can align himself with anti-Semites when he has Jewish grandchildren. This is the answer. Anything or anyone that helps him is worth it, and to hell with anyone else - even his family.

Right now, tens of thousands of people are at risk, nevermind the untold amounts of property damage. And all he can think of is the effect on his approval rating.

As crazy as both of those statements sound, if I had to bet I'd wager on him using at least one, if not both.

because when they were passing that ability around he was too busy combing his mop to get his share. So he is left with guessing how one is supposed to act and feel in times like this. The truth is, if you have never experienced a disaster like the people of Houston and other parts of Texas are facing, you really have no idea. But you look for common experiences of grief and loss to try to imagine what they are feeling. tRump unfortunately seems so squarely focused on himself that relating to the pain someone else feels is clearly out of his reach.

The psychiatrists and psychologists had tRump pegged long before he was installed as President. He is demonstrating the effects of a terrible mental condition every day he is in office. He really should be pitied to be living his life in such a vile, self centered way. But he is now in a position to harm millions, world wide with his sick, evil intent.

About the best we can do is continue to pressure the powers that be to remove him from office. Maybe then we can start to undo the damage he has inflicted upon us.
