Trump was bringing up Clinton pardons to justify his pardon of Arpaio

He even brought up Obama's commuting "leaker" Chelsea Manning.

intact, and a pardon - which essentially wipes out the conviction.

There is also a significant difference between a pardon for breaking the law, and a pardon for breaking the law in violation of a specific court order directed to the person being pardoned - and ONLY the person bein pardoned - to stop violating the constitutional rights of other citizens.
