CLEVELAND --

The Ohio secretary of state has trimmed early in-person voting in the state's biggest county.

Secretary of State Jon Husted sided with fellow Republicans in breaking a 2-2 tie in the Cuyahoga County elections board.

The board had deadlocked along party lines on whether to open board offices on the last two Saturdays and Sundays in October for voting.

According to The Plain Dealer, Husted has said extending hours for in-person early voting is a local decision but he will vote against it if there are tie votes.
