Like for real..shits and fucks flying..anyone see it? Telling them they interview people at the worst time and throw microphones in people's faces.

(9,974 posts)It was the anchor's and reporter's "and now to commercial..." reaction that made me post about it.
Now they came back from commercial and keep referring to the mom as being at her "breaking point". Calling it a "very human moment" and telling the reporter if she sees the mom again give her their "best". Probably not a good idea to go look for the mom....

(15,682 posts)I'm sorry if that's how it sounded. I was putting a finer point on it. (Or trying.)
How many times did that poor woman push the microphone away? And complain about the microphone in her face? MSM - slow to catch on in this case. Though, I don't really fault her too much either. She was doing her job and probably on autopilot after many hours at it.
CNN should stay the heck away from that woman, or apologize with a nice room including meals for her and her kids. And do it quietly, without fanfare.

(15,805 posts)Why do refugees even stop to talk to a total stranger with a camera, let lone freely divulge their emotions to entertain the jaded viewers? The reporters have to do their job and no doubt a producer is yammering in their ear to capture more heartbreaking reactions. I've seen some survivors just walk past the TV people, but most stop to chat. Even holding their cold, wet crying babies, they seem compelled to tell all and unable to move on to get help until the interviewer dismisses them. Why?
The woman just relayed how her family had almost died and her young children were standing there cold and scared, but the reporter kept pressing and pushing her for more, trying to get her emotions on TV. She's lucky she only got a verbal beat down.
