Former union official pleads guilty in probe of Fiat Chrysler

Prosecutors have publicly accused four people in the alleged scheme, and court documents indicate at least four others at FCA US and UAW may be implicated.

In all, officials said more than $4.5 million in worker training funds were diverted over a five-year period ending in 2014.

Like anything to do with the Auto industry or the UAW, this story has received major coverage in both newspapers.

So far, a couple of the accused have plead guilty; belief is that they are planning on testifying against the others.

Seen a few comments by rank & file UAW members of FCA wondering if the last contract was less favorable than it could have been. I believe this story also had a role on the Nissan workers in Mississippi voting down representation, but of course no one really knows what impact it may have played.
