WH-insider: Trump feels unappreciated. "This isn't what he signed up for."

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/08/30/trump-shrinking-white-house-242159

But staffing up is far down on the list of Trump’s priorities right now. As he heads into an autumn fight on tax reform with a Congress he feels does not respect or fear him, the source close to the president described his mind-set, in recent weeks, as “the worst it’s ever been.”

“He feels like this is not what he signed up for, and his accomplishments are being underplayed,” the person added. “He just looks around and says, ‘When is this going to get better?’”

-----------------

Trump's problem is:
Trump is not a man who finds solutions.
Trump is not a man of ideas.
Trump is a man who commands others to come up with solutions and ideas or else they are fired.

He's so pampered and spoiled that he lacks the critical thinking to realize that HE is doing something wrong.

That's why he brought in Ivanka and Jared. That's why he keeps firing WH-people: He thinks he can solve his problems by replacing his underlings with new ones.

Trump's other problem:
Trump doesn't know how to hire good people.
Flynn, Scaramucci, Bannon, Gorka... Those people are unqualified braggarts and Trump hired them BECAUSE they are braggarts. Not because they are good at their job.

Trump's third problem:
He doesn't realize that cheering crowds at campaign-rallies does not translate into political leverage and political support.
Trump needs buy-in from other politicians to move his agenda forward.
He doesn't realize that his cheering supporters don't deliver this buy-in.

He won't go out a loser. He will be bought off by the RNC, Kochs, Edelsons, and others so that he walks away with huge profits. He and his family will immediately be pardoned by Pence for anything and everything, going back to money laundering, obstruction, and collusion.

He walks away richer and without longstanding legal jeopardy. He is literally not trying to be a good president...it's not the plan.

Trump is far too arrogant to care about what anybody thinks. Chances are, he already thinks he's the best President ever. He needs constant praise, sure, but I'm sure he brushes any criticism off as the words of "haters." He has enough arse barnacles in the White House to stroke his ego, I'm sure. No legitimate criticism exists of him. Ever.

He only cares about his cult-like following. If you don't stroke his ego at every turn, you might as well not exist to him. He would prefer that you be dead, and he'll do everything in his power to destroy you. He fires his appointees until he finds someone who always says yes, showers him with praise, and when things go bad, pretends that everything went perfectly (anyone who says otherwise must be destroyed).

He's a textbook sociopath and megalomaniac. His mental state is just fine, I'm sure. He thinks that he's the greatest ever. If anything, he's just angry that the media isn't falling to their knees and kissing his arse, because he's already the best President that will ever exist. He deserves nothing less than constant adoration, flowers thrown at his feet, women fainting in his presence, etc.

And the reason is he's a major narcissist-- everything revolves around him. And if his fans don't number in the millions, he's bummed.

He's so jealous of President Obama because he (Obama) made it look easy-- and we all know it wasn't. PBO genuinely loved being President but it wasn't an ego trip. He wanted to make positive and constructive changes to our country (and did). He worked long and hard to be the very best.

And he was.

His whining, crybaby tweets about how the media is against him and destroying MAGA tells me that he cares very much what everybody says about him. Of course, if it's negative, it's "fake news," but his tweeting rants shows that he's obsessed with what people, especially those in the media, say about him. He reassures himself with pretending people walking out of his campaign-style speech in Phoenix was a big crowd, and he may actually believe that, but I believe he knows he's going down even as he comforts himself with rallies.

But he is too stupid I now realize. Stupider than I thought. I really thought he was savy enough that his primary persona was just mostly an act to energize his base. And that once he won, he'd then have to put on another act. Like his acting he did on his show where he pretends to make a thoughtful decision, weighing the bad and good qualities of his contestants. (Even though we now know it was staged and decided by the producers)

But he keeps showing us that he can't even understand where he is, and that the primaries and the general elections are over. That the polls now are taken not from the Republican base, but from the entire country, Republicans, Independents, Democrats, and a lot of folks that did not even vote. Its telling when you hear his post Charlottesville statements. So many Republican pundits shaking their heads on TV about how this was a perfect set up, a no brainer. To go out and make a forceful statement against bigotry, racism, and all the organizations that promote it. And that that is not what America is about. (Even if privately he's a flaming racist) He may have even gotten Van Jones or others considered more liberal in the media to call him "Presidential" again.

He could have taken advantage of his position as an "outsider". As someone who decried the paralysis in Washington. He could have ordered, in public, Republicans to work with Democrats (As some are now doing on their own) to keep but help improve the ACA, instead of just throwing the baby out with the bathwater, and thinking it'll be "so easy" to create a new baby. At least after the first efforts failed.

How to get rid of Trump:

1) Ignore: The one, best way to hurt Donnie is to ignore him.

2) Upstage: The second best way is to show you are better than him (and ALL of us are better than him!) and steal his spotlight at the same time.

3) Indict: Thanks to Ken Star we know a president can be indicted. Robert Mueller has this task well in hand it will happen.

Ignore. Upstage. Indict.

That is all.

Do it now and you get Secret Service to use as servants for a few years plus your pension.

Wait too long and you'll be dragged out.

Your choice.

Dad has never abided whining from anybody (especially his children) but when an entitled ass like TRUMP whines his blood boils. "PRESIDENT CANDY ASS!" he yells. He's an old man now so allowed to yell at his TV. I think the name fits though!

“He feels like this is not what he signed up for, and his accomplishments are being underplayed,” the person added. “He just looks around and says, ‘When is this going to get better?’”

First off, what accomplishments? Other than some presidential signing orders, none of his vaunted agenda has even been proposed to Congress, let alone passed. He's of the opinion that all a president does is to provide a germ of an idea, then Congress is supposed to flesh everything out, come up with all the answers, vote on it, pass it, then submit it to him for a real "dog and pony show" signing ceremony, where he can tell everyone how hard he worked to get this bill passed. That's how stupid and lazy this guy is.

Secondly, "When is this going to get better". Short answer here, Donnie: WHEN YOU GET BETTER. He's a totally unprepared, incompetent fool who puts zero effort into everything he does as president.

Yet another, "I'm the victim" screed from the absolute worst President this country has ever had, and ever will have. He's in so far over his head, the only thing that keeps him from drowning is the abundant amount of air inside his head. Even the staunchest of Trump supporters are starting to believe what everyone has told them all along: He has absolutely no idea what he's doing. Is everyone sick of winning yet?

who continue to undo gains made during the Obama years. While everybody's focused on the latest tantrum, blunder, or outrage coming from the Trump sideshow, they're consolidating control over state legislatures, voting processes, law enforcement, environmental regulations, the judiciary, and -- soon -- the 2020 census.

Their only real regret (and it's a big one) is that they haven't yet been able to give billionaires and multinational corporations the superfluous tax breaks they expect. Since this is the true purpose of the Republican Party, they'll keep working on that while we obsess over the careening toddler's reality show.

109. "Trump is not a man of ideas." On this I disagree.
Thu Aug 31, 2017, 06:37 AM
Aug 2017

I disagree because that is ALL that he is.. vomiting forth one idea after another as they pop into that sad head of his.

What he completely lacks is any kind of plan to implement any of those ideas. All ideas, no details.

We'll make America great again! well... how exactly?
We'll have the best health care around, and everyone will be covered, and we'll do this by repealing Obamacare! Well... how exactly?
We're going to build a wall, and we're going to make Mexico pay for it!... Well.. how exactly?
We're making the economy great again! Well.. how exactly?

This emperor has no clothes.
