A new Fox News poll released Wednesday findsthat an overwhelming 69 percent of Republican voters believe the news media poses a greater threat to the United States than white supremacists.
In comparison, just 18 percent of Republicans in the poll said that white supremacy was a greater problem.
In the same poll, 70 percent of all respondents said that President Trump hates the news media more than he hates white supremacists. That number includes 83 percent of Democrats and 53 percent of Republicans.
Participants were also polled on their view of Trump's response to violence in Charlottesville, Va., earlier this month. Trump initially blamed "many sides" for the violence that resulted in one death and dozens of injuries.
The responses were split among party lines, with 72 percent of Republicans approving of Trump's response to the violence, while 91 percent of Democrats disapproved.

(118,236 posts)"Registered Republican" voters might be 28% of the electorate -- and 69% of that would be about 19% of registered voters
What may be happening there is: the "registered GOP" crowd is shedding everybody but the kooks, and the most centrist GOP voters are increasingly calling themselves "independents"

(22,976 posts)I NEVER want to hear again from Repubs about how ANY Democrat is "trampling on the Constitution." Not after these malcontents and crackpots have done a Riverdance number on the document.
For that matter, they can't play their religious card again, either. Or their moral-outrage card. Or their "fiscal responsibility" card.
Not after 45. He's radically devalued all the old GOP go-tos. Oh, they'll try. But there's no longer any debate-power in their vintage shtick. They've shown far too much adoration for their rude, crude, simple-minded, p***y-grabbing, self-congratulating, Putin-fellating till-tapping, would-be dictator.
