Get ready for the glee

When first elected, he predicted that the economy would grow by 3%. No one took him seriously, not even on the pages of the WSJ.

But, it did. At least, last quarter:

American economy grew 3% in April-June

The US economy grew at its fastest pace in more than two years in the second quarter, much faster than initially estimated, official data showed Wednesday. Hitting the White House growth target for the first time in Donald Trump's presidency, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased 3 per cent in the April-June period, the Commerce Department reported.

but the reality is that the one in the White House takes the credit, and the blame for how the economy is doing.

Many RWers still claim that the robust economy during the 90s was just "part of the cycle" will not give Clinto credit. And, I think, many blame Obama for the slow recovery since the Great Recession.

This is why I know he will glee and his deplorables, who still don't see improvements in their lives - it is not as if they benefit from the stock market - will fall for this.

thank President Barack Obama for righting this ship after the devastating economic conditions the Republicans handed him in 08...remember - republiklans cannot govern....Austerity caused the slow growth..GOP-led spending cuts ....

President Obama set the wheels in motion....The economic policy was a combination of tax increases on the wealthiest Americans and increased public services such as scientific research, infrastructure, health care reform, and education meant to boost the American economy and future prospects.

So this tax reform - also known as welfare for the rich - is a scam....I don't mind paying my fare share = as long as that fair share is equitable across the board....
