Hurricane Harvey - Pet Rescue Staging Area in Katy, Texas

[This was posted in the Pets Group, as well.]

For anyone in the area that has items that they would like to donate towards pet rescue, the staging area for pets is at the Katy Mills Mall, Parking Lot 5A which is to the left of the Bass Pro Shop in Katy, Texas.

There is a desperate need for humane cat traps, carriers and crates.

from Victoria on Sunday.

One is a small terrier named "Buck" and the other is a pitt mix named "Prissy". We've been okay so far although my other dogs are kinda apprehensive about them. So far so good... I have crates that came with the rescue center. I am full over here but hope that more people are able to foster or donate. Every rescue across the state is inundated!

KICK!

Were these guys from a rescue group or just from the local animal control?

I'm sending a passel of supplies tonight to some friends who are on the ground in Katy, Texas. We've got a lady taking down trailer loads of stuff.

The staging area in Katy is incredible per video they've sent. Lots of love being passed around there! And it's amazing. Wish I could be there to help, but I cannot, so I send what I can donate.

Some of the rescue people are starting to concentrate on other areas at this point, including Beaumont.
