Freepers -- never fans of Willard -- contemplate whether GOP should dump his ass

I think it’s worth asking whether it really is too late to put a conservative on the ballot for president. Look, we all KNOW that O-Zero’s attacks on Romney are complete BS. But Romney has shown he isn’t able to stand up to it. He looks weak and defensive. So, maybe this is an opening for us.

Romney cannot really just drop out of the race. That would be insane. But he could be asked to let the convention make the call about whether he should move forward. Conservatives could ask him to release his delegates to vote their consciences.

Some responses:

Nice idea, but it will never happen. Romney is too arrogant to ever step aside plus he believes he is the fulfillment of prophecy (White Horse Prophecy).

Barring a miracle, we are stuck with the SOB.

You all still don’t get it.
Romney is the chosen one this time around. Chosen to lose.
He’s not fighting back because his handlers are holding his jewels in a vice.
Zero will win another term no matter what you say or do.
Yea, it sounds conspiratorial.
Oh wait. Didn’t this happen to the last chosen one, Mclame?
All that said, I’ll hold my nose, AGAIN, and vote for the RINO that they poured at our feet. UNLESS: Unless some real men/women with balls take over the convention and start a domino effect that can’t be stopped, like West, Levin, et al. Yea, I know I’m dreaming.

Romney can kiss my rock solid conservative ass.

The convention is as orchestrated by the GOP as the primaries were, but if the delegates and the caving conservative RINO pragmatists woke up, stood up, and sounded off against Romney instead of FOR Romney, then yes!

The Ron Paul ground game was always set to do just that. WE were not.

Our bunch, however, have not proven to resist squat, but I pray for a miracle.

They refuse to commit more money, and Ann Romney starts to have more problems with her MS.

I don't think that I would like Anne Romney much, but I don't wish a serious disease on people that I don't like short of the late Osama Bin Laden.

I wish Ann and Mitt long lives and enough good health to thoroughly enjoy their dancing horse and their car elevator. I just don't want either of them to have political power.

I hope that the horse is being treated better than Seamus was.

No one who treats an animal like that gets my vote, even if they have a D behind their name.

They only wish it was BS. If it were BS, they wouldn't be talking about replacing Rmoney.

They are confusing the word "conservative" with "extremist". There's nothing moderate about them.

Those idiots think it's because the Party is too damn Liberal when it's actually 100% conservative. To the point of cheating their own base to put in a corporate shill. It's really funny when you go over there and see them claim Liberals are all about Bank bailouts and Wall Street and "Big Government" telling you how to live while Conservatives are all about individual freedom,.....except for non-white-male-christian-conservatives....who are persecuted,....poor babies.....

You really wonder if any of them has seen an actual woman naked that wasn't on their monitor.

(Besides their sister who they walked in on and got beaten up for it.)

GodAndCountryFirst says:

Romney cannot really just drop out of the race.

The man has spent the past decade running for the presidency. Its all about him and its personal. He's not going anywhere even at the expense of the nation.

Or that they've been CONDITIONED to be Conservatives.

Being a Conservative is not a natural state of mind. It has to be taught just like Racism needs to be taught.

You don't see children,.....oh wait,....I've known some real brats....

that because they disagree with the results of an election, they want the convention to step in and change it? These are the people who are always saying what great Americans they are? Wow.
