When Trump denounces the fake media his anti-Semitic fans hear Jewish media

His attacks resemble Henry Ford’s. He too was embraced by anti-Semites.

On August 14, President Trump reluctantly read a statement intended to assure Americans that, contrary to an impression left by his earlier speech, he condemned the neo-Nazis and white supremacists who marched in Charlottesville. The next day, he returned to Twitter to complain about the press: “Made additional remarks on Charlottesville and realize once again that the #Fake News Media will never be satisfied …. truly bad people!”

Trump has been picking fights with the media since he declared his candidacy. But these latest outbursts reveal more than ordinary presidential frustration with the press. And they’re no ordinary way of expressing that frustration. Trump has long played on racism against African-Americans to attract white supremacists. He does the same when he demonizes the media.

The president is deploying, consciously or not, a classic trope from the Russian anti-Semitic fabrication, The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, published in 1905. When he says “fake media,” anti-Semites hear “Jewish-controlled media,” which exerts disproportionate power over other media outlets and public opinion. Anti-Semites understand what Trump is doing. They blame the “whining Jew media” for forcing Trump to condemn the Nazis who marched in Virginia.

The Protocols are the Bible of the anti-Semitic movement. They purport to be the minutes of a meeting where Jewish elders detail their plan to conquer the world. In the part of the Protocols titled “Control of the Press,” it is “revealed” that Jews control every aspect of the press to protect their new worldwide government from attack or criticism. The unnamed narrators admit their real aim is a false-flag attack on the legitimate press: “Among those making attacks on us will also be organs established by us, but they will attack exclusively points that we have pre-determined to alter.” Fake news, then, begins as Jewish infiltration of the legitimate press and transforms into complete domination: “Not a single announcement will reach the public without our control.”

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Of course, this is a "water is wet" type of revelation, but the sad fact is most people who understand the wetness of the water also miss the point and immediately launch into their own anti-Semitism by attacking Jews on the right with anti-Semitic clichés and other age-old nonsense.

blow the anti-Semite or anti-black whistles loudly and clearly. It's time to impeach this monster.
And I really do not understand Jews and blacks who support him and his agenda so adamantly.

You get this largely unspoken from those who are in a position to oppose him or laugh at him. There is nothing now or in the future acceptable about Donald Trump. The entire Republican Party field is not better, Trump will get much worse in time.

Which provides the sheerest of veils for anti-Semitism. This one is covered with Long-gone Bannon's fingerprints.

Usually, I only saw "globalist" in left-leaning outlets, sometimes a substitute for "Jew" then too, but usually not. However, I am seeing it more and more on the right, and it is very obvious it is a stand-in word for "Jew".

Or, alternatively, might be seen as a way of 'expanding' Anti-Semitism

It is clear beyond any shadow of a doubt that there is a core portion of Trump’s base that is Anti-Semite. Anyone who denied that before recent events in Charlottesville certainly cannot do so now, with literal neo-Nazis openly marching in the streets. However, there has been a strong resurgence of an argument I’ve been hearing for several years now, that the Nazi’s were actually “Leftists”.

The argument has long been around the simple-minded argument of “Look, the Nazis were ‘National Socialists’ – its right there in their name!” Never mind that the emphasis was on “National”, that not every phrase with a given word means the same thing (just ask a Marine if a “Merchant Marine” is the same thing), or that “Socialist” in National Socialist was centered around the “German People” and wasn’t at all the same as the international socialist movement either at that time nor the current.

The Nazis aligned themselves with the Fascists of Italy and violently attacked the ‘left’, including socialists (of the Non-Nazi variety) and Communists, and while they considered themselves neither right nor left, they also condemned “cosmopolitan” cultures, decried what they believed to be the “decay of morals”, and promoted “German exceptionalism”. All of these would place them squarely on the right in current day American politics.

My whole adult life, I’ve been hearing Conservatives say things like “Just a bunch of ‘damned’ Liberals”, “The Liberal Media”, and on and on, and how they need to “take back our (their) country” sometimes explicitly saying from Liberals. Peppered in with these attacks was the notion that it was the “Religious Right” (understood to be Christian Right) vs the “Secular Left”. There was also the under-current of Anti-Semitism that ran through the more extreme individuals. This Anti-Semitism tended to be mild by comparison where, if Jews were mentioned at all, it was in the same sneer as “Liberals”.

Oddly, this Anti-Semitism seemed coexist with a Pro-Israel faction on the Right. I initially had trouble understanding how people who thought that Jews were going to hell for rejecting Christ would be so pro-Israel. The usual answers had something to do with supporting our ally in the region, etc., etc., but these always seemed contrived (at least coming from those believing that Jews were going to Hell).

Now consider the following fill in the blanks:

_____control the Media
The _____Media is Corrupt
Schools are _____ indoctrination
_____ are degenerate
We need to take back our country from the _____
Big City _____
New York _____

With what word did you fill in the blanks?

Many on the Right who would never consider themselves Anti-Semitic. Yet there are reasons that the Goebbels and Goerings of the world would need the masses to “be brought to the bidding of their leaders”. For this, they still need to “tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger,” and for that they still need a boogie man, an “Other” who can be demonized and blamed for al ills.

For the out-right Neo-Nazis, ‘The Jew’ will still suffice. For Klansmen, blacks and any other ‘non-white’ fits the bill. For the others, who are not so explicit in their racism, “Liberal” has taken the place of Jews and others as the new “Other”.

Israel can bring on the Battle of Armageddon - I don't think they support Israel to be good to the Jewish people. It is in furtherance of their own agenda.

Many use Israel as their "card" to claim they aren't anti-Semitic, or use/attack it (Israel) while being anti-Semites.
