LOL!!! Great CNN/Romney Screen Shot!!!

CNN's Erin Burnett calls Romney out for not releasing his tax returns. And what a bizarre thing Romney said today - he doesn't need to release his returns because Teresa Heinz didn't release hers. So apparently Mitt Romney is now running for First Lady. Incredible.

Perhaps also include sociopathic personality. Pathological liar. And, much like W, perhaps slightly Oedipal.

Or, would that be going too far??

Romney's inability to control the discussion and his wimpy demand for an apology. A direct challenge to his manhood--that is usually what Republicans do to Democratic candidates and this weak portrait of Romeny will not play well with the Republican base.

Seeing the interviews and observing Ann Romney, it's seems she runs the pants in the family. Whenever she speaks, Mitt just smiles passively (very passively) and never interrupts or joins in. Who drove the jet ski? She will be running the country, not Mitt, just behind the scene.

Of course the news media might conveniently leave that one out, though it's good to see them perhaps show that he's wrong to be feeling completely smug about that option.

So there must be something bad in the tax returns. And to expand on George Will's accurate (in spite of himself) assessment, I suppose we'll only see it when the political cost of withholding the returns reaches such a fever pitch that it passes the threshold where it's finally better (even if still bad) to show the public his returns.

Tue Jul 17, 2012, 01:14 PM

He said it wasn't enough that his opponent release her tax returns, but that her husband needed to as well.
When he ran for Senator, he blasted Kennedy saying he needed to release more of his returns.
And, of course, his father released 11 years of his returns when he ran.
So, where's Mittens in all this? 2 years of tax returns and nothing on his wife's returns.
I know, IOKIFYAR, but when you start putting all of these things together, you can't help but conclude that a) he's an arrogant prick and 2) he's hiding something that will kill his chances.

I just love how gallant Romney was in protecting the family of candidates. Isn't he all cheesed off when anybody dares to say anything about Lovey? So now he's throwing John Kerry's wife under the bus to try and distract us from HIS returns.

What a dirtbag. He just gets creepier and creepier, slimier and slimier with each passing day. He's going to be nothing but a disgusting puddle of goo by Election Day.

PS: I know Obama's "America the Beautiful" ad is genius and wickedly effective, but I keep hearing Romney screech that out-of-tune song over and over in my head. SOMEBODY PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!

...I'm impressed with Ms. Burnett. To see a corporate shill like her take on Mittens like this is quite refreshing.

BTW, I would change the second statement on the screenshot to read, "He did something ILLEGAL." I'm thinking that he's hiding something that could get him sent to the Big House - non-declaration of income, possible insider trading, maybe even a bit of VOTER FRAUD? (I wonder if his tax returns declare an address other than Massachusetts for the time he was head of Bain - up to at least 2002).
