From ViaCom and they lied in their commercial. Naturally ViaCom lies. ViaCom claims that DirecTv dropped all of their stations. Didn't look like DT had any choice if they couldn't legally transmit it without a contract.

I got a free whole-home DVR upgrade and various discounts on my programming by being polite and telling them I had an attractive offer to switch from a competitor, but was giving them a chance to keep me as a customer.

I'm going to double check tomorrow, as they have been a day old, but that's fine. Better than nothing, which may be what's going to be there, now. I don't understand either, it's not like the on-line version was any less in ads, really, and that was fine too. But it's confusing when they end a revenue source instead of charging more of a tv model, when so many are watching it in lieu of tv. ie, not click ads, but actual pay for the ad space ads, like on tv. Perhaps they already did, I don't know, but it's discouraging.

I hear too that MS and NBC are splitting so how quickly and if the MSNBC line up will be available is I guess also in question.
