yawns and say, "Nope: nothing to see here", as they then plan the theft of 2018 and 2020. What do we do?

(41,831 posts)than Trump. Trump is so stupid, they can manipulate him, but Pence maybe more of their style of animal, ready to run in the race and win, with Republicans. He is also ultra Religious which may pick up many of the Religious Right people.
What is so fucked up about Trump is he only appeals to his base, and the rest of us can go fuck ourselves... Republicans are deplorable in any case.

(999 posts)According to Ken Starr the President can be criminally indicted. Starr wanted to indict Clinton but he wasn't certain he could get an indictment. Impeachment is a political act that only removes the officeholder. I am fairly certain that the Republican controlled house would simply pocket the Impeachment referral. If Mueller is able to get an indictment against Trump I am quite sure the challenge will get to the Supreme Court in no time. We are approaching uncharted territory.

(89 posts)The GOP is acting like a party that will never have to compete in a free and fair election again. If they don't want to do anything and the outcry is only 50-50, nothing will happen.

(4,616 posts)I speculate that the fix was in for some time and leadership of both the House and Senate were in on it. Thus McConnell's pocketing of Obama's Supreme Court nominee. To me it looks like he knew that any short term cost was soon to be rewarded with long term benefit. We are royally screwed, I'm afraid.

Not everyone can get to DC or NYC but I can damn sure gather in my area with like minded people to put a stop to this shitshow. I can't afford to miss work but most weekends are free . If this is to stop we need to get someone's , anyone's attention.

If Congress and/or SCOTUS pull the rug out, a general strike is all we have. If we aren't courageous or motivated enough to pull off a major nation wide general strike to cripple buisness and government, it's over and we are had.
