Could Trump's Failed bid for Buffalo Bills be the Reason for his NFL Implosion?

Back in the Fall of 2014, Citizen Trump was trying to buy the NFL Buffalo Bills. he lost out on that bid.

I think we should explore the possibility that the thin skinned, orange asshole could have held a grudge for the intervening 3 years and blurted out his venom in the Alabama speech this past Friday night.

Here is a sample of the news story at the time (Oct. 13, 2014), a small snippet and his accompanying tweets back in 2014. An interesting read and an interesting theory.

<snip>After a bidding war that saw Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula become the new owner of the Buffalo Bills for a whopping $1.4 billion, Donald Trump, the other would-be owner, took to Twitter to voice his displeasure.

The string of tweets was rife with bargaining and backhanded compliments.<snip>

Is that people who own sports teams (or want to) make terrible presidents.

Not only did Trump NOT have the money, but also Russia wouldn't lend him the money for the purchase and the Sellers knew of Trump's tradition of not paying (at least completely) for what he's bought.

He probably wanted the NFL to give him the team and the loan.

I was upset when he was trying for them because I have loathed trump for a long time. Glad Rex Ryan was fired because he was a trump backer, not to mention a lousy coach.

owners would have approved any Trump deal. Sounded like at the time, they still had a bad taste of Trump from the USFL days and how he screwed over tons of Investors in that league.

Donnie Dipstick loves to through something out to the public, just to see how long his name remains in the News Cycle. Less we forget, after all,it is all about Donnie.

Back in 1997 I watched in horror as guy named Howard Millstien became the successful bidder for the Washington Redskins. He outbid the son if the late owner Jack Kent Cooke. The bid was subject to league approval because they want to ensure that the owner has the resources needed to run the day to day operations. A week later the NFL rejected his bid and Dan Snyder ended up buying the team. I bring this up because I can guarantee you the NFL finance Comittee looked at Trumps Bid and I am sure they asked for his financials as well. NFL franchises are money makers simply because of the TV contract and shared merchandising agreement. The league doesn't want people like Trump as an owner. I am sure Trump is holding a grudge.
