my guess for Romney VP: In the vein of a Dick Cheney type figure

who was right next door to make sure W did what he was told, my prediction is:

Charles Koch.

Let's face it, when W was elected, the emphasis was on starting wars and emptying the treasury. Cheney was made for that.
This time the emphasis will be on emptying the treasury and making life miserable for certain classes of people (anyone who makes less than $1million/year- unions - women)
Who could possibly be better than a Koch?

You are not under the impression that Romney has any input are you? Of course he doesn't. Norquist stated that many months ago.
Charles can sit right there and keep a tight rein on his stooge.

Romney has been described by many as a micro-managing control freak. Hes simply not going to change overnight into a puppet for a VP whos running the show. Furthermore, the Kochs like running the show, but from behind the curtain. There is NO WAY they would submit themselves to the media scrutiny given to a candidate for high office.

It is their money. Hundreds of millions.
They are buying the presidency.

but there may be too much water under the bridge for that pairing.

He could keep the Freepers happy with Gingrich.
