The whole line of thought that the "Republican big guns" are sitting out this election is hilarious

Who ARE these "big guns" exactly? Which one would generate more excitement than Mitt and be less of a liability to the GOP? Seriously, this is the best they've got, and that should be encouraging to us.

they don't want thinkers or leaders or dynamic personalities.

they have think tanks and donors to drive the talking points and agenda items.

for congresscritters and presidents, they want reliable, convincing, and subservient parrots.

this is why they still pine for reagan, because he was the best they'll ever see in this regard.
