Maria Bartiromo is being an ass again on CNBC....

...she had some chamber-of-commerce-type guy on there vehemently criticizing Obama's comments yesterday that rich people didn't get rich all by themselves. This d*ckhead was on there saying, yes, in fact they DID get rich "all by themselves", working long hours and all the other BS. And there was Maria, cheering him on, agreeing with every word, and feeding out more of the same crap, along with some other guy in the studio with her, helping out. It was disgusting to hear the spew they were churning up! BIG-TIME!

I'll try to get a link to this, but beware, it was revolting!

Listening to these idiot Romneybots, you would think people got rich without anybody ever buying their products, and built all that infrastructure they relied on by themselves. Their meme was that "Steve Jobs got rich all by himself, all by his own efforts." It's ridiculous! These right-wing shills might just as well have been on Fox!

2. Someone should ask Rmoney if Steve Jobs or Microsoft

would have grown without the US Army made internet.

not one restaurant would have spread without the highway and road network.
Rmoney knows better - he raped the tax system and the loopholes - all facilitated by said government.

One of his first jobs (and, soon to be, an important project) as an Ampex employee was with the CIA. One of his first contracts as an owner was with WPAFB.

"Self Made", my dick. You're welcome, Lar-bear.

3. I saw that. They are lying about what Obama said

Obama said you didn't do it totally by yourself, the country helped you. These people are twisting Obama's words and saying Obama thinks these Entrepreneurs don't deserve any credit at all, it was all the government. Obama didn't say this.

nah - never mind... Maria still would not get it.

I remember the time she was on my tv having an argument with someone because she not know that you can't go on Medicare until 65. She is an idiot.

7. I think the easier thing to look for is when CitiBank Bartiromo is NOT being an ass.

I mean, she's a right-wing anchor on one of two fully-dedicated Republican agitprop channels (the other, of course, being Rupert's Swamp of Liquid Manure). She's pretty much doing what she's PAID to do - shill for corporate America and their best interests. Oh, that also includes pushing the "Self Made Millionaire" myth; the real reason that it's pushed so hard is that it justifies chopping the millionaire's taxes lower and lower and lower on the premise that they worked harder and are insanely more productive and "job creatin'" than the underlings.

8. All this distortion over one sentence taken out of context

I wrote a OP about it earlier today.

I believe Obama was literally talking about physically building a business location and how you obviously can't do that alone. He probably should have worded that sentence better but that entire part of his speech was, of course, the truth. Nobody can be successful through their own initiative alone. To be successful people need to have initiative AND take advantage of everything modern society provides through government taxation and shared responsibility. There's nothing anti-business about that whatsoever.
