BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Roy Moore defeated Sen. Luther Strange on Tuesday in a closely watched special election for an Alabama Senate seat, as frustrated Republican voters rebuked their party's leadership in Congress for failing to repeal Obamacare and deliver other marquee promises.

(9,726 posts)Roy Moore is just a bit crazier than Luther Strange, and right up there with Jefferson Beauregard "Keebler Elf" Sessions, whose vacated senate seat he just won. Happily, ol' Roy will be the 100th senator in seniority and none of his peers will pay the slightest attention to him.
