4. Hubby and I visited

the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs a few weeks ago during our very quick drive to "flyover America." In 2.5 weeks, we drove through Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, Minnesota and Illinois, specifically avoiding the metro areas of MSP & Chicago - not because I don't like them but because we were pressed for time and I didn't want the traffic hassle.

The US is truly a grand and beautiful country, as are the majority of its people. The small percentage of haters is virulent. But we can - and must - overcome them.

Per the USAF's own standards, as reflected in the monuments and plaques on view in Colorado Springs, this behavior is reprehensible and officers must NEVER condone it, just as they must not condone sexual assault, hazing, etc. But the behavior described is also fascist and race- and hate-motivated. It should be rooted out at all costs.

But when the Occupier-in-Chief is an overt racist and when white supremacy is not called out for the unacceptable aberration that it is, the bullies and cowards will act out as they please. This behavior must NEVER be considered acceptable. Whenever the offenders are identified, the punishment should fit the crime.
