She said he was "insulting" to Puerto Rico.
Used her "miscommunicator-in-chief" name for him again.
She has a much higher opinion of his staff, thinks they're trying.
VIDEO in this Maddow Blog tweet:

That tweet's video clip had the quotes I've mentioned.
Here's a link to video of the entire interview:

(63,657 posts)he has displayed his lack and knowledge of everything any decent he does not have. He is a bully. He projects hate and shows no compassion.
He is just stuck on himself, self absorbed with himself.
God, and he is going to Vegas......he will make us all cringe tomorrow too.

(12,448 posts)she said "It's not about politics, it's about saving lives." And he cut her off, saying "thank you."
(I may have gotten her statement backwards; she may have said saving lives first.)
And what the FUCK was throwing paper towels about?

(63,221 posts)I have never been more disgusted. He has insulted the people of Puerto Rico beyond belief. Get that stupid mofo out of here, he is a disgrace to all that is decent in this world.

(51,371 posts)She'll have his job soon. After the Gov let himself be used by Trump for Trump's infomercial, he could get Teresa May'd and the good people of Puerto Rico could choose their new hero, Ms. Cruz, to lead the whole island. She's already doing so now, albeit unofficially.

(5,101 posts)Speaking in general, does throwing paper towels have a special meaning ?
It looks so strange to throw such things into a crowd.
It is not at all criticism, I'm just asking. Sometimes things might look strange but when explained, make sense.

(5,101 posts)He could have done something less stupid...like...acting for once as a decent human ? Not as president, it is probably far beyond his capacities.
Maybe it is not physically hurting but very rude and insulting.

(51,311 posts)treating flooded out, starving, homeless FELLOW CITIZENS like they were kids at a party, catching prizes.
THEN he makes it PAPER TOWELS, to people dealing with UNPRECEDENTED FLOODING and DESTRUCTION.

(5,101 posts)I had something like that in mind.
Yesterday, in another thread, I was wondering if at this stage, it was very weird to think : at least it was not toilet roll paper...
Believe me, I feel extremely sorry and sad for you, to have to undergo so disgrace.
By chance, nowdays, communication is very fast and make it easy to see how much this sore human waste is far from representing Americans and any of their values.
Leith
(7,802 posts)He was in a center with electricity and food, where people had showers and clean clothes, and were healthy.
He never went to where roads had been washed out. He never saw dead people stuffed in garbage bags because there was nothing left to do with the bodies. People in the mountainous interior areas don't have food, water, electricity, or medicine. Trump posed for cameras and made stupid jokes.
I swear if he talks about his hotel in Vegas tomorrow, I will throw my TV out the window and jump on it.
syringis
(5,101 posts)I understand your feelings.
A few days ago, I said that each time I see his face, I want to cast stones at my screen.
Dixiegrrrrl came with a nice tip : sticking pins in dolls....
It is cheaper. Trump don't worth the loss of a TV...
I gave up trying to figure what could be your feelings, if, even me as non American and not living in the US, feel the way I do.

(7,802 posts)We have a community here that I am grateful for. It's wonderful to know that we're not alone and that others have my same outrage.
One thing you could do: let people know in your country that we are here. Let them know that we are embarrassed, disgusted, and ashamed of what is happening in the US. Not all of us would put one of hair furor's stupid hats on and we definitely do not agree with what he says and does. That would help a lot.
Edited to add: I call him "hair furor" because of his stupid hair, the chaos he causes, and the pronunciation is almost identical to "Herr Führer." You probably already knew that.

(7,405 posts)it was hard to avoid the impression that float riders were playing the role of social betters tossing trinkets and disposables to peons. The more I found out about the local custom's origins, the more I learned and understood that is EXACTLY what its genesis was.
That's what Trump's display reminded me of today. "Here all you clamoring wastrels, scramble and fight for my refuse."

(5,101 posts)I've searching something similar in History.
Found nothing in the modern eras. Then, went a little far back and compared with some kings or queens, which don't make much sense but...
Finally, I held back the time until the Roman Empire to find a more or less unhinged leader...
Well, still a flawed comparison but I couldn't find better...
