I have a solution for Mitt Romney's tax returns problem.

In the spirit of transparency, he should release them to members of the Republican Party only. He doesn't even have to release them to FOX News. Nor the Democratic Party or the mainstream media. Only members of his own Party. Surely they will not pick through them, distort them, or lie about them. But we would be assured of some small degree of transparency.

But, he would not even agree to that arrangement. Which would prove that he has something very embarrassing, or maybe illegal, that he is covering up?

We challenge Mr Romney to release his tax returns to his own Party.

...There is nothing unusual about a Presidential candidate releasing returns. For the Mittbot to assert such privilege speaks volumes about his attitude toward the American people.

Of course, Mitt will not release his returns to his own Party. He would rather pretend that the Democrats would "pick through them, distort them, and lie about them" because that's gives him a thin excuse not to release them. After all, he has done all that is legally required.

Yes, he should release them to the public. Every other candidate has done so. But he believes he can ride the storm out. With our corporate media, he may be able to do so?

Many Republicans want to see his tax returns as much as everyone else does. What does it say if he refuses to release them to his own Party?

From a political standpoint, it makes the issue even stronger for the Democrats. Isn't it about time to move up to chess?
