How to bat down RW attempts to take the heat off Romney for outsourcing

The RW does two things:

1) Link outsourcers to the President.

This is a massive FAIL, these people are not running for President.

2) Tries to draw false equivalencies between actually outsourcing jobs and pending trade agreements to employ a hypothetical about the future impact of trade agreements. They've been exploited by companies that want to ship jobs overseas so therefore Obama's pending agreement makes him the same as Romney.

Another FAIL, examine Romney's own record.

Meanwhile, Lynn Sweet at the Chicago Sun-Times notes that a conference call hosted by the Republican National Committee (RNC) yesterday attacking President Obama for “high unemployment” was hosted by a firm in The Philippines (apparently a subcontractor of Verizon, whom the RNC used).

Problem: Obama has never been the CEO of a company that actively engaged in offshoring. The nonsensical false equivalencies only serves to take the heat off Romney.

A trade agreement may or may not have the impact of enabling an asshole like Romney to ship jobs overseas.

That depends on how the agreements are constructed and enforced. There is no proof or evidence to suggest that Obama would support a deal that would lead to jobs being shipped overseas or wouldn't work to stem any losses (by adjusting policy or working with Congress) from existing agreements. He has in fact actively denounced outsourcing and there are real results of his efforts to enforce trade policy.

I know President Obama has hired maniacal outsourcing sociopaths like Immelt, and is involved in the TPP, but we'd have all of this PLUS A LOT WORSE if we'd voted for McCain and if we vote for Robbedme. And don't get me started about idiots encouraging Democrats to stay home.

Obama is NOT a messiah. He didn't sell us that. He broke his promise on NAFTA but what politician has ever kept every last one of their promises? If that's everyone's problem when we need to get down to the source - political campaign contributions, Citizens United, and the GOP itself. We see that he is making progress against offshoring - he might have reworked NAFTA if he had the support.

Oh, and some of the work should be done by us. Instead of deriding Occupy as "pavement pissing fools" we should be out there with them.

"I know President Obama has hired maniacal outsourcing sociopaths like Immelt"

...there is a difference between hiring someone and appointing that person to a commission to make recommendations to create American jobs.

That's asking Immelt to put his money where is mouth is. Has nothing to do with outsourcing or trade policy.
