What The Hell Does The Republican Party Platform Offer The 18 to 30 Year Old?

If they're Latino, conservatives want to check their citizenship status at all times, deny them the right to vote, and deport them.

If they're African American, conservatives want to defund their public schools, deny them the right to vote, and put them in jail.

If they're women, conservatives want to inspect their reproductive systems at all times and defund Planned Parenthood.

If they're GBLT, conservatives want to convert them, deny their right to marry, and continue legal discrimination against them.

If they're poor, conservatives want to send their jobs overseas.

If they have student loans, conservatives want them to pay a higher interest rate.

If they're in the military, conservatives want to send them to Iran for yet another war.

Finally, conservatives want to over turn the ACA which would mean that those under 26 would be dropped from their parents' plans.

So, why in the world would anyone aged 18 to 30 ever want to support the Republican party.

What do Republicans offer America's youth?

If someone's in the military, the GOP wants him/her to go back to Iraq, indefinitely.

If someone's trying to buy a home, the GOP wants him/her to spend a good many years waiting for the privilege -- unless, of course, said person is wealthy.

If someone's facing financial setbacks, the GOP wants to increase the burdens while shredding the safety net.

And if someone's deemed suspicious, for whatever reason, the cons and the 'cans want carte blanche to stand their ground, up to and including...well, you know.

Well, I suppose the wealthy have something to cheer with Mitt.

Go Billionaires for Romney for bringing this into focus.

they offer someone to blame for why you aren't getting ahead, why you work as hard as your parents but have to settle for less, why your parents state tuition was reasonable and yours is impossible to pay off, why you haven't seen a raise in 6 years, why your new job pays 80 % of your old job, why your copay is going up and up, why your company is now only covering 70 % of your insurance cost...

They pick the easy target, the poor. People without the power or money to fight back.

It really feels like for years Democrats just assumed people understood why they weren't getting ahead. I mean the poor and minorities overwhelmingly have gotten it for years. More and more though Democrats are attacking the Republican message. Look shrinking white middle class the poor don't have all your money. Finally Democrats have figured out these people are looking for a target so why not offer them the actual real target instead of the fake Faux made for TV one Reagan and the gang have used for 30 years. It seems to be working for Obama. I hope district by district Democrats keep pushing this message.

In all seriousness though, after reading their platform it seems like the only thing they really offer is to leave them alone.
