Rachel is making a mistake IMO: Manafort, Trump, Stone go way back to 1980.
Manafort, Trump, Stone go way back to 1980 & Sater to 2002
Roger Stone founds a lobbying practice with Paul Manafort, who is a childhood friend. Trump becomes one of Stone’s first clients. 6. The Dubious Friends of Donald Trump parts 1,2 & 3: The Russians, King of Diamonds, Billion$ Fraud
Last edited Sat Oct 14, 2017, 12:07 PM - Edit history (1) THE DUBIOUS FRIENDS OF DONALD TRUMP PART ONE: THE RUSSIANS
THE DUBIOUS FRIENDS OF DONALD TRUMP PART TWO: KING OF DIAMONDS THE DUBIOUS FRIENDS OF DONALD TRUMP PART THREE: THE BILLION DOLLAR FRAUD Although still in its early days, Donald Trump’s presidency is coming under fire. The Russians are alleged to be in possession of sensitive information about Trump. And that exposes Trump to blackmail. Fake news, tweets Trump: “I have nothing to do with Russia – no deals, no loans, no nothing!” Trump swears he has no ties with the Russians. But is that actually the case? In the second part of our programme about Donald Trump’s controversial friends, we will set our sights on the Russian Jewish billionaire Lev Leviev, who is controversial because he is suspected of trading in blood diamonds. He is one of the world’s biggest diamond traders and owns prestigious stores in New York and Moscow, but he is also the owner of Siebel, the Netherlands’ biggest jewellery chain. Leviev has ties with Russian president Putin, US president Trump and his son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner. Trump, however, claims he hardly knows this “King of Diamonds” . Zembla investigates Lev Leviev’s business empire. https://zembla.vara.nl/dossier/uitzending/de-omstreden-vrienden-van-donald-trump-de-russen https://zembla.vara.nl/dossier/uitzending/the-dubious-friends-of-donald-trump-part-two-king-of-diamonds Will Donald Trump go down due to his dubious ties to the former Soviet Union? The president seems to be getting in deeper and deeper. Special prosecutor Robert Mueller, who is investigating if Trump colluded with Russia in order to win the elections, is also digging into Trump's past as a business man. In that past, one of Donald Trump's business partners plays a crucial role, Felix Sater. A convicted felon who has ties with the Russian mafia. Last May, Zembla disclosed how an American real estate company, run by Sater, used Dutch mailbox companies within a network, which has been suspected of laundering money. Allegedly $1.5 million dollars had been diverted. Donald Trump developed hotels and apartment complexes with this suspicious company. In the last few months ZEMBLA received indications of a greater fraud. A billion dollar fraud. And here Sater, Trump's questionable business partner, shows up, as well. The money trail leads to Kazakhstan, to real estate projects in New York and again to the Netherlands. ZEMBLA investigates: How compromising is this case for the current president of America? https://zembla.bnnvara.nl/nieuws/the-controversial-friends-of-donald-trump-part-iii-the-billion-dollar-fraud Fugitive Kazakh clan has deep ties to Trump associates. 11. Deja DU: Who is Roger Stone, the Long-Time R Dirty-Trickster and Miami Mob Leader?
Just another infamous member of the gigantic Republican cabal of felonious characters known as the vast right-wing conspiracy.
Today's question might better be "Who is the Swiftboat Admiral?" Hindsight tells us the moneybags behind the evil tricksters was Donald J. Trump. Here's my previous, very long thread, with just a brief part quoted: https://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x3052618 L. Coyote ---- Mar-24-08 09:35 AM
Who is Roger Stone, the Long-Time R Dirty-Trickster and Miami Mob Leader? I'm starting this thread on the infamous DIRTY TRICKSTER rather than place this on all the redundant threads about Stone reporting Elliot Spitzer to the FBI. TOPIC: Dirty tricks and the dirty tricksters who work behind the political scenes. Stone may epitomize this genre of operative better than other "known" figures today, excepting Karl Rove. ------------------ Who is Roger Stone, Jr.? Buckley, Nixon, Reagan, Bush operative. from Bush vs. Gore, the 'Arkansas Project,' the USA firings, and the Swiftboat Admiral Jun-02-07 - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x1029113 "Roger J. Stone, Jr. is a long-time Republican dirty-tricks operative who led the mob that shut down the Miami-Dade County recount and helped make George W. Bush president in 2000. He was also a campaign strategist during the presidential campaigns of Presidents Nixon, Reagan and George Herbert Walker Bush. He is the chairman of the Fort Hill Group, a Washington, D.C.-based public affairs firm...." (https://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Roger_J._Stone,_Jr.) This is another case of illegal and stealth funding. "... During the 2004 presidential primary, Stone served as a behind-the-scenes consultant to black firebrand Al Sharpton's campaign to win the Democratic Party nomination, prompting speculation that Sharpton's campaign was actually a stealth operation to weaken the party's chances of winning in the general election." Roger Stone, Jr., began his career volunteering for William F. Buckley’s 1965 mayoral campaign, and has since had roles in the presidential campaigns of Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. A veteran Republican operative, Stone went to Florida to help the Bush campaign" during the 2000 recount, where he is creditied with organizing the "recount riot." Remember that gaggle of Washington D.C. Congressional aides, the posers pretending to be enraged Floridians, yeah--the guys who got their daily marching orders slipped under hotel doors in envelopes, that's the crew Stone puportedly directed via walkie-talkie from across the street. Stone has ties to Morton Blackwell's Leadership Institute and started his career in the College Republican National Committee during the Nixon era, when Blackwell "had turned it into a school for political dirty tricks. Both Stone and Blackwell have been closely connected since the 1970's with right-wing fundraiser Richard Viguerie." (http://www.abunchofgreedyrightwingliarswhoworkforwalmar... ) Richard Viguerie, is connected to Scaife, and like Scaife, has been dubbed "the funding father of the conservative movement". See American Target below. Stone is associated with the swiftboating of Dan Rather. Check this DU thread: https://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=2400623 Mike Krempasky: "I've been using Roger Stone's email system for one of my California statewide campaigns." And, where o' where is rathergate.com located? Administrative Contact = Mike Krempasky: contact @rathergate.com RatherGate 6814 Kincaid Ave Falls Church, VA 22042 That's the address of "RedState.com - Conservative News and Community and their contact is American Target. (Also the address used by Thomas Crowe in the list of Boy Scouts of America Troop 654 Counselors.) American Target "is" Richard Viguerie. Viguerie is connected to Falwell via the "People of Faith 2000" National Advisory Committee. .................. |

See Moyers site [link:http://billmoyers.com/story/trump-russia-timeline/|]
and from the panel of suspects, I select "Paul Manafort" and "Roger Stone" and press the buttons "Expand" and "Oldest First" The result gives a photo (1980) of three men: Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, and Lee Atwater (d. 1991). Atwater was the person responsible for depriving USA of probably the most capable person we could have for president -- Michael Dukakis. Atwater was the author and purveyor of the vicious, racist Willie Horton attack ad. "While I didn't invent negative politics," he said, "I am one of its most ardent practitioners." (Lee Atwater) An African-American friend of mine was an active DEM party worker in DC in the 1980-2000 period. He told me that "we just couldn't beat Atwater -- he always came out on top, dirty -- but on top." There was a compliment: "We took every opportunity to hear Lee play the blues on guitar. He could have been a very successful performer. When we read his deathbed confession ([link:http://www.nytimes.com/1991/01/13/us/gravely-ill-atwater-offers-apology.html|], a few tears flowed." Maybe, old friend, a few flowed from you, but not from me. I will concede that Atwater did make a great apology in his confession, but it was too late to undo the damage he did. And, it did not change the GOP's campaign tactics. The world is lucky that Atwater was not able to have a long run with Manafort and Stone. It could be much worse than now. Time for Manafort and Stone to confess and apologize. |
