When women run 4 office, they win at the same rate as men but women are far less likely to run. Why?

When women run for office, they win at the same rate as men – but women are far less likely to run for office at all. What do you think is the biggest barrier to women running for office?

Perhaps it is because people surrounding them don't think to tell them they should run, whereas with men they are all always being told they should run. So men take it for granted whereas for women it doesn't figure in their reality.

Look at Donald, he was always told to run. Even Oprah told him to run more than a decade ago.

Sure, there are exceptions, but many women do most of the child care, most of the housework, most of the cooking and shopping and hold a job at the same time. They're tired. They've got no time for themselves let alone time to give to public service.
