President Trump admits he's trying to kill Obamacare. That's illegal.

Source: CNBC, by Abbe Gluck

Modern American history has never seen as full-scale an effort to sabotage a valid law as we have with President Trump and the Affordable Care Act a law whose legality has been upheld twice by the US Supreme Court.

The president has a legal obligation, under Article II of the US Constitution, to "take Care that the laws be faithfully executed." That means he must make sure that our laws are implemented in good faith and that he uses his executive discretion reasonably toward that end.

His agencies likewise have a legal obligation, under the Administrative Procedure Act the statute that sets the rules for our entire federal regulatory apparatus not to use their power to engage in arbitrary action.

The intentional, multi-pronged sabotage of the ACA that we have seen over the past nine months reaching new heights since attempts by Congress to repeal the law failed violates both Trump's constitutional obligations and quite possibly the obligations of his Department of Health and Human Services.

1. Abuse of power, anyone?

That was one of the charges the House was considering against Nixon when Tricky Dick finally rode off into the sunset.

7. That's just it...

Trump has been doing blatantly illegal shit on a daily basis since January, so why wouldn't he continue since nobody has made any serious effort to stop him?

8. He doesn't follow any laws and rules and gets away with it

every time. His entire life has been a series of lawsuits. The fucking moron has no ethics and morals and neither does the GOP. They are a match made in Hell. Now America has become a living Hell for the rest of us.

9. Are insurance subsidies part of the law?

If the subsidies are part of the law, then he should support them. If they are just something that BHO signed, but didn't go through congress, then DJT can (and did) reverse it with another signature. Nothing illegal here.

Sad, but it seems like it's just one more consequence of an uninspired vote last November.

10. The Supreme Court ruled on the constitutional legality of the ACA.

The lower courts are technically looking at the argument already approved by the Supreme Court that the executive branch can make the subsidy payments on behalf of working citizens as a tax benefit, since Congress wouldn't authorize it under Obama.

The insurance companies will simply up their premiums and get the money in a monthly premium payment - as stipulated by law!

Unless Congress actually passes the new proposal which would take it out of presidential discretion.

11. Republicans themselves are exempt from laws.

They bend, break and re-write them all the time. But they rarely get apprehended or punished, because secular laws are man-made and not of God, therefore, laws do not apply to the godly. And, yes, God is a right-wing-crank Republican.

But Democrats? They are godless, liberal, Muslim-loving Marxists. Thoroughly expendable, THEY are the problem!

He'll be truly shocked when that ends up not being the case. I mean that. He will be shocked and confused. That's his feeble grasp of the role he was elected to.

He's serves up so much obstruction of justice that he should be locked up. For what's left of his vile life.

15. It's not against the law if the pResident does it and if law penalties are not enforced.

So Dotard has that going for him.

Much like running a red light. If you're not cited, then there's no penalty.

16. Nixon said that, too.

We didn't even GET to impeachment!

Maybe when Trump sees an empty Mar-a-Lago he'll realize this just isn't any fun!

Dumb freakin' luck and appealing to racist, misogynist pigs isn't nearly as wonderful as membership fees and bookings!

I'm not sure he's stripping the U.S. Treasury of that much for all of his golf trips to his properties.

18. I wonder how ethical it is...

to take a senator like Graham to your private golf resort weekend after weekend - while Graham and the others are working on a White House travel/vacation/security budget?

Maybe we should ask Senator Menendez?

19. Presidential Oath?

He placed his hand on the bible and swore to uphold the laws of the constitution. He swore to protect the citizens. He swore to God.

Is this a Christian? No. Can he NOW be impeached? Yes. WILL he be impeached? Maybe, when his so called tax plan doesn't pass. Maybe THEN the wimpy republicans will go ahead with impeachment proceedings. That's what they are waiting for...the tax hike for the rich.

It's a sad place this country is in now. Extremely sad.

RESIST. With all your might. Resist.

20. Have to get the House and Senate in 2018.

This House won't even raise a vote to impeach, much less get the roll call to make it happen.

This Senate won't even censure him, they sure won't execute the proceedings and impeach him.

House is very within reach. Senate is an uphill battle in 2018.

Let's put in a legislation that will make it happen!!!

22. Trump's buddy Bannon said he would primary every (R) senator except Cruz.

Trump said Bannon might be persuaded to back off a little..."Mitch".

Trump NEVER read Dale Carnegie, did he?

23. Good point. You are right, yaller.

Republicans have been getting away with this, though, since their leadership met the night of Obama's inauguration in 2009 and agreed to go lock-step against EVERYTHING Obama and the Dems put forward.

Republicans have done their best to sabotage ACA any way they possibly could. Now, it's just that now Trump is being downright blatant about it.

He is indeed misusing his power, and has many times since entering the White House forsworn his oath of office. In fact, it was treason that got him to the White House in the first place.

Trump is an orange scorpion in our midst, stinging every which direction, merely because this kind of evil, unformed chaos is his nature.
