A grieving military father says Trump offered him $25,000 after his son was killed and didn't follow

A grieving military father told The Washington Post that President Donald Trump offered him $25,000 after his son was killed, but said the president didn't follow through.

Chris Baldridge's son, Army Cpl. Dillon Baldridge, was killed in June during a suspected insider attack by an Afghan police officer.

During a call with the president, The Post reports, Trump offered to write Baldridge a personal check of $25,000 and said he would work to establish an online fundraiser for the family. Neither has yet happened, Baldridge said.

"I could not believe he was saying that, and I wish I had it recorded because the man did say this," Baldridge said. "He said, 'No other president has ever done something like this,' but he said, 'I'm going to do it.'"

A White House spokeswoman told The Post that the check has now been sent.

Turns out the military gave the beneficiary of the soldiers life insurance 100k. That person was his mother and was chosen by the soldier for a reason of his knowing. He left his dad nothing. If for whatever reason the soldier chose to leave his biological father nothing, it was his choice.
The parents were no longer together at the time of his death.
Trump is still a douche...25 or not.

He said the mother got the 100k and that the son left him out. He is not with the mother, so she kept it all. I having a crappy mother that abandoned me in 2nd grade see more possibilities in this story. We know where she is and my brothers have re-established contact as adults that didn't remember her as babies, but I would come back to haunt anyone that gave her money in my name.

Not defending Trump, he is still an ass. Now he is just a stupid ass.
