4. One of the funniest things about them is how they keep "deciding" not to support Hillary
and the Democratic party, over and over again. I don't know if many of them were ever Democrats or progressives to begin with, but even if that's the case, you only get to be "done" once. Once they decided to support Trump rather than Hillary, they became Trump supporters, which is what they are now. And when a Trump supporter decides they still support Trump, it's not really news.
I guess they want to think they have some kind of leverage over the Democratic Party. If the Dems don't do exactly what they want then they'll become super-duper Trump supporters! That'll show us! lol |

18. As I've said here many times ...
... the JPR types are typically non-voters. They are wholly dedicated to finding every candidate NOT pure enough, NOT good enough, NOT in keeping with their wants.
Had Bernie been the Dem nominee, I'd wager that most of his supporters on JPR would have started finding fault with him the second his candidacy was announced. For people like JPR posters, the feigned outrage about anyone who runs for office is far more important than supporting any candidate. They see everyone as unworthy of their support - "support" which is usually restricted to posting on websites. That's why they are often drawn to the "under dog" in any race - as Bernie was in 2016. It means they can claim that they he was "robbed" by the evil Democratic PTB, and further claim that they would have been behind him all the way. The truth is they wouldn't have been. |

25. I think they get some kind of emotional boost from hating almost all politicians.
There are some people for whom politics is about catharsis. Loudly declaring that all politicians are crooks and that you don't vote, or voting for a crank third party candidate that you know won't win is a way for some people to vent their anger at the system. A lot of the people at JPR seem to fit into that category. I actually think they enjoy never finding candidates that are pure enough for them.
Besides, even if their favorite got into office they would eventually disappoint them by "selling out" due to the realities of working within the system. If Sanders somehow won in 2016 he would be called a sellout as soon as he had to bend to get something done or made a statement the hardcores didn't like or whatever. In fact, some people called him a sellout for supporting Clinton in the general election. |

36. Mainly agree for both JPR's radicals and resentful populists.
Sanders' populists would have been eager to follow their leader as long as they thought he'd tear down some amorphous "establishment" for them.
But in both cases, anyone who won the primary would then have to shift to a broader, and more sensible and achievable, agenda to pick up the diverse mainstream vote, and there we are in your scenario. Rage! ![]() Just wish those new to politics could see these people raging without restraint against Democrats on JPR in ways they're not to allowed here. The difference is huge between them and the 90% of Bernie's genuine primary supporters who were always Democrats/Democrat leaning foremost and moved smoothly to Hillary in the general to continue the battle against what the right is doing. |

... that the folks at JPR are the same "I think for myself" crew that swallowed every Russian-generated hit piece about Hillary - stories that were too ludicrous on their face to be believed by anyone with a functioning brain.
At the same time, anything they perceive as a slam against Bernie becomes a full-fledged conspiracy theory - and, of course, Hillary is always behind it. It's really rather pathetic - but these are pathetic people who seem to be totally unaware of how easily-manipulated they've been, and continue to be. |

20. Hmmm, hard to pick a favourite ...
... so many to choose from:
Hillary is dying of (name disease of choice here). Hillary has Alzheimer’s, dementia and/or epilepsy. Hillary appears to be healthy at campaign events because she’s using a body-double to stand-in for her at public appearances. Chelsea’s apartment building contains a “secret hospital” where Hillary was being treated for her various ailments unbeknownst to the public. Hillary was so debilitated by her various diseases/impairments, she wore a full-body metal brace at all times in order to stand upright. Hillary had a laptop hidden in her podium at her debates with Bernie, because she was too drug-addled to answer questions and had to be fed the answers from her staff off-stage. Despite all of her fatal illnesses, Hillary was still running a child sex-slave ring out of a DC pizza place, and personally master-minded the murder of Seth Rich. If I had to pick a favourite, it would be the posts about how Hillary was too ill to leave her bedroom, and some of her campaign appearances were actually taped in front of a green screen – the crowds were later “filled in” by technicians, using her staffers as the “audience” who were all sworn to secrecy about the deception. ALL of the above were posted and discussed on JPR multiple times. And the gullible idiots fell for ALL of it. |

Did you know that Hillary's "thugs" beat the crap out of Bernie backstage at the Dem Convention? They posted a photo of Bernie from that night, and insisted that a red blemish on his cheek was caused by a punch.
Someone actually posted a pic of Bernie from a few months earlier, and the blemish was clearly visible - but that post was simply ignored, and the rest continued to discuss whether Bernie had been hit with brass knuckles or by someone wearing a heavy ring. BTW - Last December, Bernie had the alleged "wound" removed - it was a small basal-cell carcinoma. |
