Saw an anti-Obama ad on Fox News...

...while flipping channels.

Now, I know republicans are swimming in cash, but isn't this a waste of money even for THEM?

Firstly, isnt Fox News just one big anti Obama ad anyways?

Secondly, Who is watching Fox News that isn't already going to vote against Obama?

I don't get it.

1. Well I saw an anti-Obama ad on MSNBC last night......

So to your point...why would you run it on a channel when that channel attracts largely liberals and progressives?

I guess the argument could be made that the ad could be effective with some independent voters that watch MSNBC.

2. Perhaps they are aiming for disgruntled newtie fans...

who are still feeling a bit churlish and weakly bleating that they will sit out the election.
Seems to me effort needs to be made to get decided voters to the polls this time.
Personally, no matter what gets said about Romney or Obama, I am basing my vote on the (R) or (D) next to the name.
Corporatists (almost) all, but the R's are just plain venal.
MSNBC now gives us Ms. Cupp - so I am sticking with Current.

Got to throw them enough red meat that they'll want to go out and vote for a guy they can't stand, so that he beats the guy they hate with every inch of their being.

9. I watch a fair bit of the FOX networks... good TV shows.

As such I do catch the news there occasoinally. I also enjoy FX, AMC, and TBS.

So, to at least answer your second question... I watch Fox news probably more than any other news station. But then again, I don't really watch a whole lot of news anyways. My runner up news-station would be flipping on the Weather Channel occasionally to see forecasts.

As the election season draws near, I'll probably watch TV less and less. I hate seeing political ad after political ad.

13. Obama team and Democrats are forgetting
Thu Jul 19, 2012, 11:28 AM

I think Pres Obama's team is failing to inform and repeatedly remind the American public of one important thing regarding the economy and that is why Mitt is even close to the Pres in the latest polls. Democrats and the Obama team specifically need to remind the public of the many jobs bills Obama has sent to Congress that Republicans have on purpose decided not to bring for a vote because they fear that those Obama proposals would create millions of jobs. Unemployment rate would have been at least a full point lower. Most Americans think Obama's jobs plans were fully tried and and failed to improve the economy which is further from the truth. Obama and democrats need to remind voters again and again about the many languishing jobs bills that the President sent and the Republican congress decided to sit on to hurt his standing with voters.

14. Do you watch CSPAN (any of their 3 channels)?
Thu Jul 19, 2012, 11:38 AM

If you did, you would see in every stump speech that he has made, and in some cases, he'll do 3 speeches a day when on the road... he HAS said what you recommend, over and over. Many of the Weekly Radio addresses (which also include a video for viewing on the internet) also make the same arguments.

Whenever the surrogates are on the cable news shows - and many are actually members of Congress themselves - the subject of GOP blocking legislation is always mentioned.

I suppose those who don't watch tv and only listen to music or iPods probably wouldn't hear any politics.

I don't have tv and cannot get good radio reception. live too far out in the boonies.

Your point about Cspan is good, tho, since it can be viewed online.
