What's the deal with Politico.com?

I would think that this "news" website would be all over the indictment(s), breaking stories etc.

Instead, the number one story is Roger Stone getting kicked off Twitter.

Are they joking? Is this all they can be reporting about now? Is Politico as useless as it appears?

1. No. But Politico tends to lean a bit right, as does

a lot of the supposedly centrist MSM. It's marketed to "inside the beltwayers," and money really is power.

(Don't be fooled by right wingers who insist it's left-wing because it's bias isn't Fox level.)

3. And being an Inside the Beltway outlet

They focus on scuttlebut you don't see in other places. So unless they have some new angle or source, you aren't going to see much from them. They might have some interesting things to say tomorrow though.

5. Umhm. That's their secret to success. But they're feeding

it above all to people who have territory to protect and fortunes and power to accrue.

2. Trying to appeal to both parties and republicans will not tolerate any

collusion talk or any other salient news.

Not useless but take it with a big boulder of salt.

6. There's nothing "up" with Politico...

It's always like this on Sunday; Talking Points Memo is becoming like this too. TPM barely covers the Sunday talking heads programs anymore

7. Thank you all!

I had assumed that Politico was worthwhile. I no longer think it is based on your comments. At the very minimum, it doesn't really tell you what's going on.

Can i ask DU'ers to recommend some good website that are more accurate about what's really going on at the federal level. By predisposition, I am cynical about things (and the comments for this question validate that view). Where can I go, at least now, to have a real sense of what's happening in DC and at the federal level?

If there's no such place, that's an answer too.

Peace!
