Too busy with her priviledged life to be aware of or sensitive to such phrases. Empathy and understanding are not part of their lives.

Though I'm sure she thinks ANYONE making less than 8 figures a year is trash.

... was class-est, more than racist. I'm quite sure she sees all of us with equal disdain.

at the very least. I think she lumps us all in together--those of us who don't make a bazillion dollars a year. Bitch. I wouldn't want her for first lady if she were the last woman (other than me) on the planet.

8. We have us a winner! She was dismissing the "Hired Help" with her condescending answer

we are the "small people" she and Willard most certainly do not have to answer to us!

10. Yep. Indicates in her mind she distinguishes between "people like her" and "peasants."

If you're not worth at least seven figures, she doesn't consider you fully human.

11. She might say she was referring to the media in referring to the interviewer as "you people"

but if so, the mere fact she's unaware of the racist connotation shows a very insular, elitist mentality. The Romneys at best are out of touch with popular American culture. At worst, they are racists.

so we can't be racist!

That was far more a Queen speaking to her peasants type of comment.

I don't think she's particularly racist...just entitled, clueless, and annoying.

I have no idea if she is racist. However, her attitude here, and the use of "you people" indicates that she thinks she and her creepy husband are better than the rest of us, regardless of our race. I don't think she gave race a second thought here.
