Obama needs to give a speech on defense spending

And be sure to mention how much was wasted on the F-22 Raptor. I'm sure its loads more of useless crap in the defense budget.Romney is just going to ok every project. Like Bush did.

This line of attack does nothing with independents.

Obama already has the foreign policy wins he needs for the election.

The defense cuts are already on the table, and the GOP put them there.

Obama should let the GOP swing in the wind on this, and focus on the economy.

While I agree defense spending should be cut, for him to come out for that right now opens up easy attacks for the right wing. Win first.

4. Don't hold your breath.

Defense budgets are an exercise in bipartisan cowardice and are passed in the dark of night. And that speech you wish for would be addressing a real problem, not helping with his reelection.
