Was It The Paper Ballots in Virginia?

Interestingly, tonight's Democratic victories were won with paper ballots. The electronic machines have too many weaknesses and urgently need to be replaced, the sooner the better!

2. Couldn't have hurt...

although it is not a panacea, it does at least allow an audit if needed.

15. I know WHY it was done. I'm trying to figure out HOW it was done. I want to push for

it in my own state. I guess go for the Commissioner of Elections and if he's a machine fan, there has to be a lawsuit.

4. In my county near Richmond, we've always had paper ballots that go thru a

computerized counter, so I'm not sure which parts of VA has just recently been changed to paper ballots.

9. Optical scanners that save a locked paper ballot.

This race was pure turnout. Democrats turned out to vote today. I hope the national 43% who did not vote last November got a Civics lesson today.

10. K & R

I think this had a lot to do with it.
Every State you'd think, would be using paper ballots for the upcoming midterms. Its Russia/GOPs worst nightmare.

14. Yep. And we've won most of the statewide races (president, senate, governor) in Virginia since 2001

2001: Governor
2002: US Senate
2005: Governor
2006: US Senate
2008: US Senate and President
2012: US Senate and President
2013: Governor
2014: US Senate
2016: President
2017: Governor

During this same period, Republicans won the Senate seat once, the Governorship once, and the Presidential race once.
That's twelve Democratic victories to three Republican wins in statewide races.

16. In Loudoun we've had paper-only for several years, and we've gone mostly blue.

Coincidence? I think not.
