Republicans move to legislate years go in reverse until america returns to the 50's.

"It may take some time (sob) to get America back to it's real roots of unobstructed racism and properly closeted you know whats, but we aim to return to the 50's and win in Viet Nam." Said Speaker Boehner in a brief press conference regarding New Year celebrations.

Its a popular illusion that conservatism means going back to any time in American history, the policies they advocate have never been seen before.

I would disagree with the original post in that I don't believe they want to turn back the clock to the 50's to go back to racism, they want to go back to 1890's style capitalism before any meaningful restrictions on wealth and corporate behavior were in place.
