How Robert Mueller Works a Case

Anderson is a managing director at Navigant. He was the assistant director of counterintelligence for Robert Mueller at the FBI from 2011 to 2013

I worked for Bob Mueller for 12 years while he was the FBI director,
Russian spy services use two main methods to run agents.
Either they recruit people as traditional assets, where the targets know they’re working for a foreign government. Or they use unwitting agents—people targeted to exploit not just what they know, but who they know.
That’s what seems to have happened here.

Russian intelligence services have run political-influence operations since the beginning of time, and if you put a seasoned intelligence officer in front of a traditional, unsuspecting businessman, there’s just no match.

please change it. Prison rape is neither a joke, or an appropriate punishment for whatever crimes may have been committed.

Nor is clenching a means of self-defense. That's equivalent to telling women that all they had to do to avoid being raped was just not open their legs.

until you brought it here.

My OP relates to fear of being caught in Mueller's wide net. The article spoke of the way professionals bring down the mob.
For those who were taken in by Putin's mobsters by the promises of money & favors, should be clenching their teeth or whatever, because they stupidly allowed themselves to be played when the mob drew them in by dangling shiney $tars in front of their gullible eyes.

I really find your comment hostile & a bit out of the realm of what the headline or the impressive article was ever about.

Although the fact that when I pointed it out you said, "clenching their teeth or whatever" looks a bit like you had to come up with a reasonable explanation after - perhaps - repeating something someone else said without understanding the implications.

Since the tweet and the article say nothing about clenching, and the two comments added by you are about clenching and going to jail, that is the first thing that occurred to me. I went searching the article and the tweet looking for some innocent explanation. I only posted the comment after I didn't find any explanation in either place.

You're right about prison rape having nothing to do with the article headline, or the article itself - which I agree are impressive.

I was addressing what appeared to be commentary by you about the possibility of prison rape.

crapping their pants from fear. Like they are trying to hold it in. It didn't come across to me as a reference to prison rape at all.

I never referred to R in any way. This conversation stops here.
Thanks .
The great read was about Muller's professionalism in the business he's in.

Please don't continue making it something its not.

including here on DU, to read an encouragement to clench coupled with an observation about going to jail (the two things added by the OP) as something other than suggesting clenching (their buttocks together) to prevent being raped.

It may not have been what was intended - which is why I searched for a different explanation and, finding none, commented with my immediate reaction to the post.
