20. just a guess

Batshit crazy,-30%
Can't stand the thought of an abortion ever happening to anyone anywhere 30%
Centrists from either party willing to vote for anyone sane-30%
Young progressives wanting a free education and $15/hr which will not happen here- 10%

Those first 2 overlap some but abortions and gay marriage are their battle cry.

Life is hard for dems here and moving away is not as easy as it sounds when you have a business and property.

2. Interesting note on that poll

29 percent of respondents said the allegations made them "more likely" to vote for him. WTF?????

9. My guess (and hope) is that they think it is all made up to discredit a good man.

Surely that kind of accusation doesn’t increase his appeal?? Surely they are not THAT unwilling to even look at it dispassionately, but purely on the facts? I think they just can’t deal with the obvious conflict between the accusations and who Moore claims to be. So they have to cling to the idea that it is fake, made up rumors. Of course, if it was his opponent who was facing these accusations, they’d embrace it and happily let it sink his chances. Funny how that works, huh?

11. The allegations just prove Moores innocence

Because he’s a Christian and so now, clearly, the forces of evil — Democrats, Republicans who won’t say the N word out loud, and the owners of large businesses — have conspired to destroy this man who is so much like Christ.

Because these people are crazy. This is the same 29% of people who are still hard core Trump supporters. They don’t even realize they’re in a cult and they need to be deprogrammed.

They don’t even have goalposts to move anymore, because they used the goalposts to make giant burning crosses.

13. So true

A big part of the problem is what dems we have here that will vote are not active in the local parties, mainly because I think they feel like it's hopeless and don't know where to start. What we are going to have to do is not just get out the traditional dem votes, but the convince the republicans that Jones is a good option for them. We need lots of local ads and we need people calling republicans.

14. I sent more money yesterday to Jones through ActBlue. That bypasses non-Jones Campaign people

who make decisions to withhold some or all of it from the Jones Campaign. I want JC to spend my money, if needed, and when and where JC decides.

8. a "lead" is pretty much meaningless unless you are pulling 51% for sure

Hillary was leading all the swing states but at less than 50% before the election, and all the undecideds went to drumpf due to Russia and Comey's letter.

So a LONG way to go but there is certainly a possibility of an upset.

46% not assured of anything except falling short

21. A certain type of person thinks Moore is the underdog here

with powerful forces in Washington and the media trying to look down on the people of Alabama. They think Washington Post and the establishments of both parties are conspiring to take down Moore to help the Jones.

There is also a certain type who likes assholes who break the rules and take what they want. They'd like to normalizing 30 year old adults dating 14 year old girls because they want to do it too.

They love that this pisses us off.

It ain't over til it's over. December 12th is a whole month out.

a pedophile.

Throw out the polls in this election.

28. I'd trust the "robo polls" more than live person polls

I don't think most people will admit to another person they'd vote for an alleged child molester or that as a Republican they'd vote for a Dem, but in the privacy of a robo/push a button on your phone, they'd probably admit to either scenario.

26. FWIW, George Will thinks Moore will lose

He was on MSNBC last evening (can't recall which show) and said he'd just returned from Alabama. He didn't give a lot of specifics, but said his conversations with Alabamans make him believe they will not send Moore to Congress.

29. I have that gut feeling, too

Like when we were all guessing who was going to be indicted. I felt silly saying it but I had the feeling it would be some unknown person. That turned out to be Papdopolous. I couldn't shake that notion, either, so what the heck. Moore loses.
