I am sick and tired of the Al Franken groping controversy. Except for the first allegation there is no proof that any of it actually happened.

Even the first allegation is fishy. It isn't possible to "forcibly put your tongue" in someone else's mouth. There I not one but two barriers. First, if you put your lips together it's pretty hard to stick a tongue I. If you get past the lips there are teeth. It would be pretty damn hard to get a tongue past clenched teeth.

The picture is fishy too. He isn't actually touching her and she has a flack jacket on. And there was at least the photographer there - and probably others since it was on a plane.

The others have even less credibility. Two were anonymous. This is getting out of hand.

Those in our ranks who are trying to turn the Franken accusations into a "nothing burger" should know better. Anyone who has called for Franken's resignation is being told to simmer down and wait to see what the ethics investigation determines, at least. The same should apply to those who attempt to downplay/write off any wrongdoing by Franken.
