Do you think Trump knows Pocahontas is not a fictional character but a Native American?

Plus, she had no connection with the Navajos. She was from the Powhatan tribe, Algonquian ethnic.

The Navajo are related to Athabascan ethnic.

What had Pocahontas to do in a ceremony meant to honor Navajo's great contribution during WW II ?

Does he have an idea of the great diversity of ethnicities, cultures, and religions of the Native Americans ?

The answer is obviously no...

Well, mostly were rhetorical questions. I thought he knew at least, Pocahontas was not only a Disney character...

6. He basically admitted - he didn't know anything...

During the ceremony - he came right out and said (someone, I can't recall) "was telling me about all the great things you guys did..."

Thats a paraphrase - and I can't recall who he referenced - maybe McMasters.

12. Here's the quote

I said, how good were these Code Talkers? What was it? He said, sir, you have no idea. You have no idea how great they were — what they’ve done for this country, and the strength and the bravery and the love that they had for the country and that you have for the country.

17. He only knows it gets a huge reaction from his crowd of deplorables when he calls Warren that name.

That's all. Plus he likes to call people who displease him names, like "Crooked Hillary." Bush did something similar by giving people around him nicknames, like "Turd Blossom" for Karl Rove and "Brownie" for FEMA director Michael Brown. While nicknames can be used as a sign of affection, giving someone a degrading nickname is a way of making the speaker feel superior to the other person. Trump does not make up nicknames as a sign of affection. I doubt he feels affection for anyone, except maybe Ivanka, and I may be confusing affection with lust.

Did you notice he said "they" call Senator Warren "Pocahontas" when as far as I know he's the only one who does it?

27. You are probably right.

The character of the Disney movie is inspired by the real Pocahontas but it is far from an accurate depiction (it wasn't meant by the bay, the movie was for kids)

Otherwise, he wouldn't have mentioned her.

he was a child trying to remember something about "an Indian" when he was standing in a room full of Native Americans. Highlights his stupidity once again.
