Letter I am thinking of sending my congress critters .... too much??

11-28-2017
TO: Al, Amy, Tom
RE: Destruction of America

Open letter to all three of you.

As I sit here in Minnesota in the early morning hours, I look around me and see the strength of this state and country. However, when I listen to the news and surf the internet all I see is Trump and his minions trying to destroy what others have built. I see them trying to bring about the king and serf era back again. Four families have the wealth of 160 million Americans. The .01 percent own as much as 304,000,000 Americans. Something is wrong.

The FCC wants to get rid of net-neutrality. Why would they want to do this? Because they want to make it harder and more costly for consumers, is the answer. The air waves belong to the American people, not the corporations. This is something that most politicians forget. It was individuals that forged this country, not corporations. This country belongs to the people, not corporations. Corporations do not qualify as a person. The Citizens United decision was a farce.

Now evil Trump wants to destroy the CFPB. Basically he is saying that the American people do not need protection from corporations. I mean, just because Wells Fargo opened 12 million bogus accounts and charged their customers for these, it was just a small mistake. Jamie Diamond says he is just doing gods work so we should trust him. Corporations exist to make money, they do not care about their employees nor their customers. Trump only cares about his brand.

I am sick and tired writing e-mails to my congress people and getting no reply or a reply that is just full of lies and standard party bull. Call an office and hear, “I am not allowed to answer any questions.” I deserve better. That is what your office does Tom. You hearing this Tom? Tom here supports the racist and bigot Trump. Tom writes me and tells me Trump is working hard for me, and says he is working along side him. As I sit in Minnesota, I see nothing that you fools have done to make my life better.

A new Tax Reform and Jobs bill sits before us. Trickle, trickle, trickle. Been tried before and it did not work. I am told it will create jobs. If it will create jobs, there should be a list of jobs and a guarantee. Tom, Al, Amy you reading this? All this Tax Bill does is take money from the bottom and put more to the top. Smoke and mirrors. Doubles the personal exemption, so I am told. It does not. I have proof that Trump will get a $3 BILLION tax break per year. Tom, want to prove me wrong?

I am sick and tired, pissed and angry. You all work for me. You all took an Oath of Office to uphold the Constitution. Part of that Constitution gives ME the right to petition the government with my grievances. You are part of that government. I have grievances and you do answer me. I look upon that as YOU violating your Oath of Office and in violation of the Constitution. In my world that makes you a traitor to me and the American people.

I feel like it's almost casting pearls before swine.

I doubt they or even their letter opening personnel would read more than the first and last sentences...unfortunately, it's how they are

Congress does respond when we citizens get pissed off enough. Sadly, we have to get REALLY pissed off.

or so I have been told.
Most likely some staffer will glance at it, select a pre-written answer that may or may not be relevant and put it into a file.

Like you I am so fucking frustrated trying to actually contact members of congress.

I did actually have a nose to nose with a staffer the other day when she was doing some touring of the area. Doubt if that did any good either, but I had her one on one for an hour.

Most of our congress critters have local offices and their staffs seldom have visitors.
Have you ever tried going to their local office? If it is anywhere close.

Keep an eye out, the staff often takes their show on the road to the small towns to try to solicit opinions.

I sent him an old school letter about something. I was astonished when he actually wrote me back a long letter. Granted, it was probably drafted by an aide and just signed by him but I was shocked. Ok, McCollum you got some credit there, despite the fact he disagreed with me.

They probably won’t read it but well expressed. A lot of us feel like that.

written strongly worded letters to my representatives. But I live in Georgia, so whenever I have, I receive a form thank you letter saying something to the effect of "we will continue to work for the betterment of our citizens" and then I receive Republican email or snail mail propaganda for months. I've quite providing them my updated addresses. It's despairing. Hope you have better luck.
