They even voted to dismantle most of the ACA.
Hope blue state republicans voters are poised to go

Sit patiently and wait and assume that a few of our "friends across the aisle" would do the right thing. Then like Tip and Ronnie they could all go out for a drink and clink glasses at their cocktail parties.

I'm happy we held the line (at least from what I saw), but I do feel like we needed a little bit more offense on this, the likes of which we had for the Obamacare repeal.

Trumpy really illuminated the GOP's Machiavellian approach to electoral politics. And now it's kitchen table talk that the GOP is solely concerned about their DONOR BASE and the danger in losing corporate and billionaire cash flows. The electoral base? Well, they still have to rev up their racists and xenophobes to get to the polls, but other factors are impinging on their ability to succeed: blatant racism, white supremacy, and a real lack of concern for the working poor and middle classes. The GOP is in a panic to eliminate the voting rights of those who are opposed to their plans for establishing a permanent ruling oligarchy. An optimistic assessment would conclude that they can't work fast enough to cut out resistance voting, and that a voter revolt is rising and will dominate the next election cycle.

The GOP's very survival rests with a few dozen GOP politicians who may vote against the final version of the tax giveaway. The other issues about the bill is that it will undoubtedly be challenged for its illegality. There are gobs of amendments and clauses that will be viewed as unconstitutional and outright illegal. It's a sloppily composed piece of legislation that has no place in the houses of Congress.

We see Republicans repeatedly pushing horrendous health care bills with only 12% approval from Americans. We see 90% of Americans wanting background checks on assault rifles after Sandy Hook and nothing happens, yet we do nothing about the reason these things are going on.

We allow legal bribery of our politicians, why?

Looting the treasury, destroying what's left of the social safety net, and enriching themselves is all they cared about in the first place.

Republicans are bad, evil and will never change - never. I still sit here and cannot believe we have come to this moment in history. Making it worse we are in the 21st century. Tears.
