A call for Franken resignation. How trite.

I'm about to make some major decisions about my political future based on the outcome of this "event". I'm done with the weakness. I'm tired of the kowtowing reactions to GOP antagonizing. I'm done with GOP hardcore porn winning a war using intimidation and an anonymous smoke screen.

We either fight to win or fight and lose. Or we just lay down and die. The latter of those three will never be my choice.

And I don't know how people can't see how fucking weak that makes Dems look. Voters aren't looking for weakness.

Any replacement will vote the same way. What matters is saving 13 million from losing health insurance. I love Franken, I know it’s not fair that he will be forced out. But if that helps us win the war, in the long run... Well

It doesn’t take much to see that the problems of three little people doesn’t amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you’ll see that.

We don’t want Republicans undercutting the advantage Dems have with women. Franken can be a powerful force for good with his own political/comedy tv show, another Jon Stewart with a big audience. He can get talented writers, great guests, a huge audience.

That's how many days I've had to see how crazy this world is. I've always appreciated a thoughtful and measured point of view. But I've also seen a thoughtful and measured point of view slowly eroded until the foundation that supports human values disintegrates. At that point thoughtful and measured is meaningless.

Evil knows best how to destroy and the laws of thermodynamics teaches us that a broken thing can never return to its original form in time; it must be made into a new thing. The GOP knows how to destroy; that's all they know how to do and they do it well. The question is do we allow them to continue to destroy forcing us to recreate things in their image or do we stop them from using us to do so.

They have their game plan pretty well set as malformed as it is. Our mistake would be to play their game at all.

That's how I see it although I probably have a few days left to change my mind.
